How to make a Placebo lunch/pencil box...
supplies:
  • an old plastic lunch or pencil box
  • white or super glue
  • a few Placebo pictures that are smaller than the box
  • a piece of sandpaper
  • clear packing tape or clear varnish
  • glitter, paint, or other decorations*

*if desired
directions:
  1. Use sandpaper (a nail file works too if you don't have sandpaper) to rough up the side of the plastic box that you're going to decorate so the glue will have something to grab on to
  2. Wipe the plastic box with a damp cloth to ensure that you have a clean surface to work with
  3. Cut out the Placebo pictures you wish to use (you could also use just one large pic but having a little space around the pics works best) and work out how you want them to be placed before you stick them on
  4. Spread the area you'll be decorating with glue; super glue holds best, but it may discolor the pictures so do a test on a small area first
  5. Carefully place the pictures onto the glue and press flat, then let it dry for a while
  6. When it's suffciently dried, cover the pictures with tape or paint over them with mod podge or some other type of clear sealant
  7. Add any other decorations you desire, like glitter, rhinestones, fabric paint, feathers, contact paper, or whatever you fancy
for example: i used a pink box & glued several Placebo pictures that i'd printed to the front of the box then covered them with tape to secure them & make them more water resistant. then i sprayed that side of my box with a thin layer of glitter spray. on the back i used metallic silver contact paper to add pizazz and painfully found out the super glue and contact paper don't do well together!
