in an interview with Rocksound Magazine Stefan talked briefly about Hotel Persona, here is the interview in it's entirety:
What is Hotel Persona? "Hotel Person is a side-project I do with David Amen. We've done remixes for (Placebo single) 'Infra Red' and She Wants Revenge, we have a DJ tour, and we've just finished recording an album of original material, at the moment called 'One', which will be coming out soom. There are a couple of interesting collaborations - Placebo fans will be surprised - and it has flamenco, disco, rock, lullabies. It's all over the shop."
Why did you decide to do it? "I'm perfectly happy being in Placebo and I'm not leaving the band, but there are other side to what I do musically. These songs (on the album) were written over the past five years and it's just coming to fruition now. Also, what I'm trying to do now is DJ at summer festivals, because you get kind of bored when you play them."
What do you play when Dj-ing? "It goes from Meallica bootlegs to PJ Harvey remixes to Depeche Mode remixes to French disco. It's just music for people to dance to and have a good time."
What's behind the name? "Initially it was because the project had so many different personalities to it. Also, it's kind of transient and it's going to be happening in and around my schedule, like people coming and going from a hotel."
