BUY “ADVANCED” TICKETS!
This can be done on ANY DAY before the day you attend the Faire. Actually, you can even stop and buy “advanced” tickets ON YOUR WAY to the Faire (on the day OF your Faire attendance)! “Advanced” tickets aren’t assigned to any particular DAY/DATE. So, if you buy them and your plans change, your tickets will still get you in on another day.
Advanced Tickets are usually available at major grocery stores in the Faire/Festival area – sometimes at gas stations/convenience stores. Faire/Festival TV ads and Web Sites identify locations where Advanced Tickets can be purchased.
The BEST thing about buying “advanced” tickets, is that they are ALWAYS CHEAPER than buying tickets at the “Castle Gate.” AND, they save you from having to wait in line with loads of “peons” at the Faire/Festival ticket booth!
If you buy an “advanced” ticket and you MISS THE FAIRE, you’ll NOT get your money back. In my opinion, such a “fine” SHOULD be levied against you for not attending the Faire!!! So, there!
Don your Costume the DAY BEFORE the Faire!
This allows you a reasonable amount of time to accomplish “surpriZe” alterations or repairs, and to search for the mysteriously-missing items you’re SURE you had stored in your costume stash-place after attending the LAST Faire!!!
Gather ALL Your SUPPLIES
If you haven’t already, visit my REN SUPPLIES LIST (link on my Tips Directory!)
and print a copy for yourself. Stow your supplies in your pouch (or costume pockets)
the DAY BEFORE the Faire. Trust me. Just Do It!
Call Any People who previously agreed to attend,
but recently Wussed-Out of going to the Faire with you!
These people often change their minds – again – at the last minute, and decide to attend after all. Remember, “The MORE the MERRIER.” And, Friends should nevah let Friends attend a Faire alone!
(Then again, sometimes it’s NICE not to have Friends “in tow” when saucily sauntering about a Faire!!! YOUR CALL!)
