We, the Senior Class of 1954, being of sound mind do hereby declare this, our last will and testament.
To the faculty, we leave our best regards in hopes that they soon recover from their nervous breakdowns from the past years.
To the Freshmen, we will our ability to get on the honor roll.

I, Pat Harmon, will my exciting night life to Betty Richards.

Senior Class Prophecy for Class of '54
Decatur, Nebraska
May 17, 1974
Dear Shirley:
Several weeks ago, while I was making my rounds, for you know I've taken over Dad's business, I saw Mr. Long, who is still coach at dear old DHS. We had a long talk and he told me you wanted to know where the other classmates were so I decided to find out what they were doing.
I found out Ed Sears was high ranking officer at West Point Academy.
Betty Jean Hughes and Sylvia Walter, who have been pretty good in doctoring excuses, are now specialists in Pender Hospital.
As for Pat Harmon, she is still going home at night for those letters. Must be pretty interesting, huh, Pat?
Ella McAllister wanted to be near the Navy so she joined the Waves. She had quite a time, she was practically too tall.
Joan Warren, well, you know she always wanted to drive? She sure gets to now, as she has the only Taxi Cab in Decatur.
Betty Mae Warren and Mary Wildman are rooming together in New York. Mary Ann has a Style Shop which is right across from Betty's Pawn Shop, which makes business pretty good for both of them.
Dick Schneider has at least learned how to put a television set back together after he has takein it apart so now he is owner of the RCA Corporation here in Decatur.
Dale Vavra, who was the smallest in the class, has succeeded in the big task of caring for his Turkey and Watermelon farm.
Oh, yes! Bill Adair, I see him practically every day, has taken over his father's occupation as Marshall and has been cleaning up the town.
Darlene Brockway has become a successful radio star. If you want to hear good music, listen to her program from Clint, Texas.
Evarine Murphy, who was a farm girl at heart, has now opened a salon for dogs in Lyons; her goal is to learn to give a poodle a crew cut.
Well, Shirley, I guess that about covers everyone. I suppose it gets awfully lonely out there in California all alone waiting for your ship to come in.
