In recognition of her accomplishments at Argonaut Army Cadet Summer Training Centre in 2002, Warrant Officer Vanessa Woodman was awarded the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in Canada Cadet Medal of Merit as the top candidate on the Army Cadet Leader Instructor Pipes and Drums Course.

Vanessa is the forth Cadet from 2558 RCACC to receive this very prestigious award. In recognition of their accomplishments at Argonaut Army Cadet Summer Training Center, former Cadets, Gregory Hedlund (1997 - inaugural year), Rebecca O'Keefe (1998), and Denise Woodman (1999) were awarded the ANAVETS Cadet Medal of Merit as the top candidate on their respective Army Cadet Leader Instructor Courses.
