Review no. 1 - Resident Evil Code:Veronica

Price - £39.99
Players - 1
Release - out now
TV Models - full screen 50Hz

It's Resident Evil! On Dreamcast! And boy is it one amazing ride!
This game has had more hype than any other game on any system - due mainly to its amazing graphics and gameplay. Regarding the story, Claire Redfield (Resident Evil 2) travels to Umbrella Corp's Paris lab Facility in search of her brother Chris Redfield (Resident Evil 1). Unfortunately, she is captured there and locked up in a remote island prison near the Paris lab (This part of the story is told by a breathtaking John Woo style opening FMV). Anyway, early on she is set free by her injured jailor, Rodrigo, and she meets up with Steve Burnside. Together they must escape the prison without getting eaten by the various hungry zombies and ... erm ... things lurking around. If that wasn't enough, you are also being hunted by a mad transexual who thinks he's a ... no, wait, that would be giving away the plot!
Anyway, the gameplay is breathtaking, with 7 different weapons to use, amazing realistic high resolution graphics and a super gripping storyline. The best Resident Evil of them all!

Review no. 2 - Chu Chu Rocket!

Price - Free
Players - 1-4 + internet
Release - out now
Tv models - 50Hz/60Hz

So...SEGA's first internet game? Well, a lot of people have been sceptical about this game, saying "oh, it's 2D! Oh, it's a puzzle game! Oh, there's a time lag online! Oh, it's crap!" Well, I can dispel any fears you may have about this game. Chu Chu Rocket! is amazing. For one it is not 2D. It just looks 2D due to the camera positioning. In fact, it is a full, 60 fps, high resolution, graphical 3D feast! It's wicked! And no other game can meet the great addictiveness of Chu Chu Rocket!
Basically, you are given 3 arrow tiles and you have to guide the mice (Chu Chu's) into your rocket, avoiding all cats (Kapu Kapu's) and obstacles along the way. By the way, if you lead a Kapu Kapu into your rocket by accident, they eat 1/3 of your mice so they are PISS annoying! Other hype is brought up by many other things. Golden mice are worth 50 of there white brethren, and ? mice spin the roulette wheel, setting off a random event (the best of which is mouse monopoly. Watch your friends curse you as all mice fly straight to your rocket). There are also the vast array of tactics in the game, along with the taunts, activated by the L and R triggers. There are many modes like puzzle, puzzle edit, team battle, challenge, and network modes, giving the game huge lastability. Plus, all you have to do is log onto Dreamarena and confirm your address details, then fill in a short survey to have Chu Chu Rocket! delivered straight to your door TOTALLY FREE - NO CATCHES! This is an amazing game which should still be being played by Christmas 3000!
