pieces also make give them a mysterious and haunting afterglow that few artists can create.
Trinette Reed
Some of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen.
Open Eye Studios
More abstract in terms of photography, but makes for interesting viewing.
E-Folio.com
This is how I found Trinette and Open Eye Studios. You can search by Artist, Clients, and Type of
Photography.
Paul Tucker
A 'local' artist who's working on a comic.
Simon Marsden Castles, abandoned estates, England. Dark indeed.
MOVIES
Bill and Ted's Excellent Online Adventure
A most totally excellent site for a most bodacious movie. WYLLD STALLYNS!!!!
Run Lola Run
The only reason why I'm even considering the idea of taking a course in German is so I can watch this
movie without the English subtitles.
Soundtrack.net
Ever notice how movie trailers use songs that aren't even in the movie or the soundtrack???

Literary Kicks
This site has now expanded beyond it's Beat Generation beginnings and has included Ani DeFranco,
Irvine Welsh, the Victorians, the Russians, etc etc etc if you get the point.
Irvine Wlesh (official) (fan site)
He wrote Trainspotting, because everyone knows that Trainspotting was a book, then a play, before it
was made into a movie.
Jack Kerouac (fan site) (Heavenly Lane) (Jack Kerouac Haiku Page)
It seems that a majority of people had their first contact with Jack Kerouac when they were 15 due to
reading "On the Road".
I read it during the summer before grade 9. I have yet to recover.

Gloomcookie
Ummm........ not one of my favourite sites since it doesn't really have any samples of their work.
Slave Labor Graphics
Home of Lenore and other comics. I like the monkey.
Red meat
As seen in "Vanity Fair" Magazine, you better have the ability to laugh at the macabre.
Strings of Fate
A series based around the Chinese Zodiac and their living incarnations as Gods and Goddesses.
Demonology 101
And you thought your High School years were bad.
Return to Sender
I'm still trying to figure this out. but it's pretty damn funny. Also visit the author's main site Tourniquet
When I am King
Every time I read this, I always think of the kids in my neighbourhood yelling at the poor Dickie-Dee ice
cream vendors.
Web Cartoonist Choice Awards
Just as it says. Out of this years nominees, I've only had the chance to glance at "Anne Frank conquers the
Moon Nazi's", Sinfest and Demonology 101 . But They didn't make the cut. Boooooooo.
Nowhere Girl
A Beautifully drawn comic about a lesbian outcast.
Sinfest
Imagine if Calvin from 'Calvin and Hobbes' had finally hit puberty and started hitting on the girl next
door who grew a foot or two and became a total skank. Also featuring: The best Devil ever, God's Fanboy, a talking Pig,
spoken word poetry, Ghetto talk, Angel hunting, and Slash makes an appearance as a Hand-Puppet of God.
Dead Playground Updated sporadically with a few broken links. Damnation was a good comic but the author doesn't seem to have time for it.

MOVIES AND DIRECTORS
The City of Absurdity: The mysterious world of David Lynch
Que "Twin Peaks" music.
Cosmo's Factory
Throw on your best pair of fishnet stockings and do the time warp baby, because this site has
everything you need to watch the classic cult film " The Rocky Horror Picture Show". ( Not the artery, but the vein.....).
Camp Blood
Yeah! Friday 13th movies!. The best way to spend the summer is to get a group of friends together
and watch all of these and the Nightmare and Elm street movies. Just to waste time and money. Anyways, there are not
many movies now where you can gleefully shout " No don't do that! you stupid... Now look what you've done, you've been
caught by Jason. Oh you're free now, well RUN. Not that way... you deserve to die you know that! GO JASON!". Horror
movies today are so sarcastic or based around religion that one can't help but wait hopefully for Witchboard part 15.
Ginger Snaps
A lot of people don't like this movie. Yeah well, you suck.
SITES I LIKE
Burning Man
Everything you needed to know about the infamous Burning Man gathering. Highly recommended for those
who are into fringe and communities of a special sort.
Vault of Erowid
Absolutely no comment. You want a site with everything, go here. You want to find what you want, go use
Yahoo!.
New City: Alternative America
Give it a whirl, you don't know what you might find.
Urban Legend Reference
Has everything you need to know about Urban legends, old and new. It's also here because I get sick to
my stomach everytime Little Lori tries to tell me that Tommy Hilfiger dissed blacks and gays on Opera. Now, I'm not a fan
of Tommy Hilfiger, it's just that know it's not true. However, I do want to try the Pink Floyd/Wizaard of Oz thing, which is
also on the site.
Beliefnet
This is rather ironic, and Atheist on a seemingly religious site. But it caters to everyone; Christians,
Pagans, Atheists, Bhuddist, Zoroastrians, etc..........
Disinformation
I recommend that everyone buy the books. But the articles on the site are just as good. Leftist leaning.
C-Kartel
How in the hell should I know.
Alternet Guerrilla News Network
Same as DisInfo. Only with a better updating schedule and based more around politics.
Forgotten Newfoundland: Newfoundland Urban Exploration Society
The sort of thing that makes you proud to be a Newfoundlander; climbing over and investigating crap
that the Americans Military left behind.
How to Shoplift A controversial article on....... How to SHOPLIFT. My. Aren't we full of surprises today!
