1. I have found a broken link! I am appalled and I want you to do something about it immediately!
Ok, here's what you can try.

Try looking at the name of the page (in this case the name of the page is help.html look up at your address bar to see this). (The name of the page you are trying to get to, obviously, not the one you are already on!). Try changing the first letter of the name of the page to the opposite case to which it is in. If it is an upper case letter then make it lower case and if it is a lower case letter then make it upper case. I'm afraid I have been somewhat inconsistent in my use of upper and lower case letter for my pages and so there may still be some bugs hanging around.

Try checking that the link begins with the right text. Go to a link that is working and copy everything except the page name and then add the correct page name to the end of it.

If neither of these solutions work then the chances are the page is gone. I can't think why this would be unless I deleted it by mistake. If so, there is nothing you can do except leave a message in my guestbook here.
2. I have found a factual error on your site! I am appauled and I want you to do something about it immediately!
I am equally appauled.

Please consider very carefully whether the error is in fact factual or whether it is a matter of opinion. For example, Paul Morphy not making the top ten players of all time or Kasparov being the greatest tactical genius of them all are matters of opinion.

Make sure that the information is not time dependent. Some of the information on the facts page will go out of date eventually and it might be some time before I update it (e.g. the latest world champion).

If it is an inaccurate citing of a quote please be sure that it wasn't simply the case that two people said the same thing. (Also note that more than one person with the surname "Adams" is referred to).

If your error passes all these tests and it is not a difference in spelling between the US and the UK then please leave a message in my guest book, (here) and I will try to get round to correcting it.
3. I have opened a page of your site and something on it looks wrong.

a) Images are not working.

Well, you could try and right click on the picture and select "show picture" from the drop down list. If right clicking has been disabled then try reloading the page.

Alternatively you could try using a different browser, as the one you've got is clearly not up to the task. I do however try my best to make my site compatible with all browsers. If there is something here that your browser cannot cope with I would like to know so that I can try to fix the problem. Please leave a message in my guestbook (here) if this is the case.

It is possible that the image has been deleted or the 'link' to it corrupted in some way. If you think that this is the case then please leave a message in my guest book (here) and tell me about it.

b) The buttons are all over the place.

Maximise your browser window. Don't alter your monitor settings unless you are an expert and an advanced user who understands the risks involved and is willing to take the responsibility for the consequences of his actions but this site is best viewed at 800x600.

Switch to Netscape Navigator or Firefox if you haven't already.

c) The width of the table on your index page is all wrong.

I am aware of this problem. However, I lack the technical expertise to solve it directly. I have therefore created a second index without tables here. There should be a link to it from the main index as well.
