Lara is Lucca's mother and Taban's wife. She seems to have a passion for cleaning and housework. She was attempting to clean one of Taban's inventions, when an accident which changed everyone's life occured. Lara got trapped in the machine whenit accidently turned on. Young Lucca was unable to do anything to help and Lara's legs were severed from her body. After the accident, Lara becomes more isolated and lonely then ever. Before, although Taban spent most of his time working, Lucca was always around Lara, playing with and helping her. Afterwards, Lucca, who is feeling guilty for the accident, devotes herself to science as well, to prevent a future accident. Poor Lara, unable to even clean the house, seems to have become withdrawn. When Lucca gets her chance to right a past wrong, she manages to create her mother a better future. The results are evident as Lara becomes cheerful and happy with the ability to walk, help out, and return to her social life.
