The final guru from the kingdom of Zeal, Melchior, is the Guru of Life. He created Schala's pendant and at first, was OK with the extraction of Lavos' energies. Eventually, though, he realized that the Queen had changed that Lavos' power was destructive and dangerous. He then tried to stop the Queen, but she was too far gone to listen to reason. She imprisoned Melchior in the Mountain of Woe to silence his protests. Eventually, Melchior is freed in time to journey with the other gurus for a final attempt on trying to talk some sense into the Queen. It failed and Melchior was also sucked into a time warp. He ended up in Medina Village in the year 1000 AD. Here he became a renound weapon smith. Melchior was always a master craftsman, and he made many weapons including the MasaMune, and later on, the Rainbow.
