It's 24-hour a day radio from the heart of summer, Florida! But this isn't your typical Beach Boys, Britney Spears, Will Smith summertime fare--it's everything from Mae West to Motorhead, Split Enz to William Shatner, The Cure to yer man's music (yes, I have some MP3s), and everything inbetween.
Why Titusville? Ah, the question that everyone has been asking me for a while now. To me, Titusville is the best place in the state of Florida. A small, unassuming town with the strangest mix of people. Everyone I've ever met there has been absolutely the nicest, kindest people you've ever met. And the town is circa 1960 "Leave It To Beaver"-ish hospitality but right next to the most advanced technology on the face of the Earth (NASA). The only place where you can get a good homecooked meal while watching from your backyard as the shuttle launches. It's quiet most of the time, but when it makes a noise you can hear it around the world.
And that says nothing of the miles and miles of perfect beaches they have! Playalinda (located in the Canaveral Seashore) is the most beautiful beach in all of Florida.
The station was launched on 2:22pm, 30 May 2001 with Mae West's "Mister Deep Blue Sea".
