"What's that?" said Squee, pawing the mystical volume known as the Fool's Tome.
"It's a magical book," came Ertai's testy response.
"Am I smart enough ta use it?"
"You could say that."

Adapted from the flavour text on Fool's Tome, a Magic card from Tempest.

Fantasy novels have played a huge part in giving us the games we know and love today. From D&D to Magic, you can see the influence of several best-selling novels on the game. And it goes the other way. Magic novels have begun to appear, as have D&D ones. In virtually every fantasy book you read, you can see a wide cross-section of character classes. And that is why gamers love to read.

We all have our favourites. I like Eddings, my colleagues are more Salvatore and Feist fans. We will attempt to cater to everyone, but some authors will have more detailed sections than others. This is because gamers are, contrary to belief, human, and we have to read every book we review. this takes time, and I'm sure you'd rather have the rest of the page updated, right?
