You don't just manage a business. You are in the ministry. A part of that ministry can be helping others. And there's no better way to help others than to pray for them.

This is just a little work intensive, but with practice, it may be well worth the effort.

Consider starting a prayer chain from your store. Place a prayer box on your counter (or some other obvious local) where patrons may drop note containing prayer requests.

Periodically, have an employee type request as an email and forward them to your client email list.

What!? You don't have a client email list? Pack-up and head for Kinkos! Print 1,000 8.5" by 11" fliers with THREE prayer forms on each. You'll wind up with 3,000 forms. Have the printer cut them into 8.5' by 3.66" inch strips. Check my math on that one. 11 divided by 3 is 3.66, isn't it?

Give customers they prayer blanks which request their name and email address. They may voluntarily be on your email list which, you inform them, will include specials, new releases, e.g., The Prayer of Hannah, announcements (such as Parent's Story Time), etc.

When sending prayer request, be careful not to send full names of ANYONE. Also, be on the lookout for obvious pranks. If Davy Crocket asks prayer for his friend, Daniel Boone, consider deleting it.

Another thought

Consider using business cards instead of paper strips. With a little creativity and small type, you may even use your bookmarks (see idea number four) as prayer request cards.

This book is not merely about prayer.

It explores eight Christian character traits that empower the believer, making answered prayer a normal part of everyday living.

The prayer of Hannah is an example of what God can do when we apply His principles.

Are you serious about praying effectively?
This book is for you.

You will discover answers to these probing questions:

• Am I trusting God—or am I tempting God? — Chapter 2

• How do personal pressures reveal my true character? — Chapter 6

• Am I an opaque, translucent or transparent Christian? — Chapter 7

• What is the foundation of a peaceful spirit? — Chapter 8

• How can I learn to endure rejection? — Chapter 9

• What eight character traits directly affect my prayers? — See Table of Contents

and much more!
