Are you paying too much for your FREE WOODWORKING PLANS?

Using any search engines such as Google, Yahoo, etc., for free woodworking plans and you'll literally find thousands to sift through. For the new to woodworking or amateur woodworker, it's like a gold-mine and the best part of it all... it's free!! And for many free plans, you can even print out the instructions right from your printer. How great is that?

Unfortunately, it's not always as it seems. Your free plan may come at a bigger price than you've realized. With your free plans in hand and following the instructions provided, you'll cut the materials. When this task is completed, assembly is required. So following the instructions, you'll begin to assemble your free project. Everything so far seems to be going good. Then it happens!! Some pieces just aren't fitting together the way the free plan had described. Re-checking the measurements in the materials list, you've cut exactly as instructed. So what went wrong?

As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for and then some. Your free woodworking plan came with instructions listing incorrect degrees or measurements that rendered your materials unusable for your project. Now these materials have just become scrap pieces, hopefully for a future project. However, upon studying the free plan closely, you may be fortunate enough to figure out where the mistake or mistakes were made and to make corrections as needed. BUT, you'll have to make another trip to the lumberyard to pick up more materials that you didn't need when you began the project. Depending on the size of your project, you'll know just how much that FREE WOODWORKING PLAN really does cost you.

To be fair, not every free woodworking plan have mistakes and you might be lucky enough not to run into any problems. But don't be fooled into thinking every free plan is completely correct just because it was posted on the Internet, found on some credible website. Be wise! Buy the woodworking plan you want to build and try to avoid this costly mistake!!
