Name - Dante Fujita Delormie

Nationality - Great Britain, although his heritage is quite a mix.
Hair - Very dark red, and very straight.

Appearance - Dante stands at about 5'11'', and has a wiry, lithe frame. He
wouldn't seem remarkably strong just by looking at him, and truthfully he's
only of average strength. His hair is cut to just below his shoulders, but he
hardly ever wears it down. Nearly all the time it's kept up in a high
ponytail, samurai-style if you know what I mean ^_^ The ponytail is about
four or five inches long, and since his hair is very fine it's not thick, but
sort of flowy, and very straight. Because his hair is fairly short for a
ponytail-wearing, it never stays completely in the tie and falls down a lot
around the temples and the sides of his face. His eyes are of a very medium
brown, warm and kind of chocolatey colored. He is usually seen wearing
semi-dressy clothing, cloth pants and turtleneck sweaters. He doesn't really
like jeans but he wears them occasionally, if he's planning to get dirty. He
also likes white dress shirts, but doesn't wear a tie unless he has to.
Personality - Dante is, in a word, sensible. He's an excellent decision
maker, logical and driven by reason, which really gets on people's nerves,
especially if they're the type who like to run off without thinking first. He
wouldn't hesitate to tell them exactly why they're being stupid, either,
which doesn't often win him friends, but the situation doesn't come up all
that frequently. He is a generally comforting presence nonetheless, being so
logical and all, and always (or at least often) has a rational, reassuring
explanation. If the obvious explanation is something the person would rather
not hear, he usually keeps it to himself unless it needs to be said. He
doesn't like to worry needlessly, and he tries to keep others from doing so
as well.
Conversely, he doesn't have qualms about rather viciously killing, as long as
he's sure of their being in the wrong. He can use a Japanese sword, and he
also has a handgun. He has a strong sense of his own justice and he doesn't
often question it.
History - Dante is of rather mixed heritage, being a mix of Scottish and
English on his father's side and Irish, Welsh, and Japanese on his mother's.
He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, but his parents died very soon after he
was born in a multiple-car accident that left a lot of people dead. As an
infant he was sent to live with his mother's parents in Wales, which is
incidentally where he got his middle name... his grandfather is Japanese, of
the family name Fujita. He lived in Wales for most of his childhood, where he
spent a brief hellish period in middle school before he decided to take pride
in the fact that everyone thought he was strange. He was the type of kid who
didn't do sports not because he wasn't good at them but because he didn't
care about winning. All the fighting and mudslinging that went on between
sports people at the school he went to kept him away from it. He wasn't seen
as a total geek, or even a brain, despite the fact that he was smart. He did
pretty well in his grades because he did his work and did well on tests, but
he wasn't on great terms with the teachers because he never participated in
class. He preferred to read, but not often what they assigned. As a kid in
school, Dante wasn't really disliked or liked. He was just there, one of
those kids who people said, "Oh, yeah, him. I know him."
Dante's first vampiric experience came when he was about thirteen years old.
Like many other, he started as a crossfire ;) Around puberty he started to
discover his slight pyrokinetic powers, but he never really honed them much.
He never had too many friends, and the fact that his grandparents constantly
moved around Wales and England didn't help his social skills any. One day
when he was living in York he stumbled onto a vampire bar and, seeing people who were a lot more his type than the kids
at school, he started hanging around there. He was never noticed much, and he
didn't understand where he really was, but a few weeks later he was sitting
at a table in the corner when a small group of people (who he later learned
to be Slayers) entered and started harassing a young girl sitting at the bar.
She appeared to be only about 17, and even though she was older than he,
Dante approached and tried to firmly rationalize with them and get them to
leave her alone. They obviously thought he was either joking or suicidal, but
he didn't scare as easily as they thought he would, and soon they got tired
of him. One of them pulled a gun on him and threatened to shoot him if he
didn't back down, and when he refused the girl grabbed him and threw him
against the wall, shielding him with her body. She was shot through the
shoulder. The girl turned out to be an extremely old and powerful vampire,
and the bullet didn't do her much harm, but from that point Dante spent most
of his time with her and her companions, a circle of British vampires
fighting La Crainte De Dieu and the Slayers. The other vampires of the group sort of
wanted to turn him, but the girl he met first would never allow it.
When Dante was a little older he went with his grandparents to visit his
grandfather's family in Japan, and there he learned how to use a Nihontou, a
Japanese sword. While training in Japan the vampires from Britain told him he
was on a sort of unofficial mission to connect with the vampires of Japan, of
which he met a few and became fairly but not very well known in the circle of
vampire-sided mortals. He then went to America after that, and back to York,
England for a while after. Hence, his accent is rather muddled ;) Earlier in
2001 year he was sent back to America to aid in the war there, even though he
knew very few people. Having spent substantial time in America, he usually
speaks with a fairly American accent. His Britishness only really shows when
he's upset or angry, and then it's a pretty undefinable jumble, easily
discerned as British but unable to pinpoint farther than that.
Gift - Pyrokinesis, but not very advanced. He can set fire to things, and
even make fire spring from nothing, but he finds the last power only surfaces
in extreme situations.

Movie - the original Star Trek movies, Evita, samurai anything, mostly
anything with really good scenery, and oddly some of the better Jane Austen

Magazine - Doesn't have one, really
Music - J-rock grew on him in Japan, and he also likes classical music,
soundtrack instrumentals, and just about anything that isn't American pop
music.
Season - Rainy season ^_^
Special talents - using a sword,
playing the piano
Likes - Walking around in the rain, cats, swords, playing the piano,
organization, reading, the vampire who saved him, keeping people sane, and last but not least Taylan.
Dislikes - Excessive self-pity, rashness, narrow-minded people, not knowing
what to do, books he was forced to read in school.
Phobias - Losing emotional control, being unable to help someone, the
possibility that rationality can't help sometimes.
