Hi again. If you're reading this, you must be pretty interested in my exciting and fun filled life, huh? I guess I'll start at the beginning, huh? I was born on April 22, 1973, in Derry, NH. I had a normal, small town childhood, liked sports alot and being my Dad's girl. When I was ten, my Dad had to raise my brother and myself and I think he did a great job, raising two kids and working. He never missed anything we were involved in, my brother's football games or hockey games, my basketball games or any games I was cheerleading at. My Dad is the best - and I love him alot. My brother Adam is a great brother, typical big as hell, over-protective lug! He played football and hockey, and is still in great shape. We took care of each other, as brothers and sisters usually do, and have remained very close as we've grown. He works for the same construction company my Dad does, and we're hoping he stops breaking hearts and marries soon!
I loved sports, as I said, and played basketball and volleyball. I love to hunt and fish, my Dad taught us early about camping, hiking, fishing, etc. I am in training to earn my black belt in Kenpo karate too. I currently hold a 1st degree Brown Belt. I was a cheerleader in high school (DON'T turn your nose up!!) and honestly, had a great time growing up. I was blessed with good friends and a huge family that has always been a major part of my life. We had (and have) huge reunions every year, attended by well over 100 relatives each time. When the Irish side (Dad's) meets the Italian side (Mom's), well, let's say you won't have to worry about DULL! But we're all close, thank God, and it's not uncommon for my relatives to walk in and help themselves to something to eat, because it's expected of you to do the same.
After I completed two years at UNH working towards my Criminal Justice degree, I decided to enlist in the US Army. I wanted to put my education to practical use, and the Army offered me an immediate chance to do what I wanted to do. I took my basic training at Fort Jackson, SC, attended Miltary Police School at Fort McClellan, AL, and have been stationed at Fort Benning, GA and Fort McClellan, and now here, at Fort Gordon, Ga. I love what I do, and love feeling as if what I do in some way matters, that I am making a difference. I'm sure it sounds corny to you but if you know me at all, you know I'm very sincere about that. I have since completed my degree work and hold a Bachelor's of Science in Criminal Justice.
Likes and dislikes? Hmmm - I love music, almost every kind - except RAP and REGGAE! You wanna get rid of me? There ya go! Favorite bands? Steely Dan, Rush, AC/DC, Smithereens, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Matchbox20, AeroSmith, Wynonna, Garth Brooks, Patty Loveless, Pam Tillis, Clint Black, Travis Tritt, Weather Report, Spyra Gyra, The Crusaders... pretty eclectic tastes, huh? I love to read and to write - my baby named me Lyric for that reason (among others). I write lyrics and poems, sometimes the short story will slip out too. No, no plans for the great American novel though. I like being with friends, true friends, dancing, running, taking long walks, and playing cards. Spades and poker are my games and without braggin, I'm pretty good! Gonna have to learn Euchere though..
