Poorman's Chili

Poorman's Chili

1 1/2 lbs ground beef
3 large cans Campbell's pork and beans
1 bottle of your favorite barbeque sause
1 large green pepper
1 large onion
1 small bottle ketchup
chili powder
pepper
salt

Slice/dice the pepper and onion to preferred size. Place the pork and beans and half the onion and half the pepper in a large soup pot. Add half bottle of barbeque sauce and half the bottle of ketchup, season with chili powder, salt and pepper. Simmer on low heat. Brown the ground beef with the remaining onion and pepper, add the remaining barbeque sauce and ketchup. Season with chili powder, salt and pepper to taste. When the beef is browned, pour the entire contents of the pan, grease and all, into the bean mixture. Taste and season as needed. Cover and simmer on low heat for at least two hours, stirring often. Chili powder seasoning is up to you and how hot and spicey you like yours! This freezes well and can be put up and reheated any time you want it.
