This page is dedicated to Precious who left this world Friday, 30 March 2007. Sleeping in the walk-in closet she passed peacefully in the evening. She had been sick for close to two weeks after a steady diet of recalled cat food from Menu Food. She was to see her cat doctor Saturday morning because in a matter of days she lost half of her body weight, lethargy, loss of appetite, vomiting, urinating only a little and with great pain, and the loss of the ability to control her bowels. It was a very undignified way for a very dignified cat to die.
Thank you very much to the company who decided to add melamine, a chemical used to make plastic and fertilizer, to the wheat gluten, in order to increase the profit. I believe in karma and I almost feel sorry for what will be coming for the individual or individuals.
Precious was not a young cat. She was 20, as far as we can figure. She didn't come to our family as a kitten. My sister took her from someone abusing her; she ultimately ended up living with my mother. It is so sad that at her age she had to die of kidney failure solely because of the food she was fed. This page is to honor the cat my mother, my children, my sister and I loved. Oh, and I can't forget my aunt and my uncle who lovingly called her "Dog." R.I.P. Precious, a.k.a. Dog.

A Honor To Another Animal
This is Wee, our neighbor's late dog. Poor Wee was hit by a car. Wee liked to roam the neighborhood. He paid daily visits to many a dog and person. Once, the chubby little Dachshund kept jumping until his little body could reach a suet ball I had for the birds. He ate the entire thing.
On another occasion we were having a yard sale and Wee came over. For some odd reason he took an interest in a soap dish and ran off with it several times.
