Crossover Wars: Prologue

It was several days after they had returned to earth following the great intergalactic chase. Mister and Misses West were still in the forms of a pair of 20+ year old people, and this was unsettling to Alex because his parents looked as young as he did. In a last ditch effort to scientifically explain what had happened he broke down and called Washu, the universe's greatest genius.
"Professor Washu," he said as the image of a girl with long, flaming pink hair blinked onto his screen, "I need a favor."
"What can I do for ya kiddo?" Washu asked as she reclined a bit on her floating cushion, "You need an invention? Help with a science project? You want to borrow Ryoko to blow a planet into itty bitty pieces?"
Alex cringed from the last thought before he said, "Actually I need some help explaining something and reversing the condition."
A door appeared next to Alex a moment later, Washu stepping forth before the doorway vanished.
"So, what do you need help with?" she asked, startling the young warrior to the extent that he fell out of his chair. Once Alex regained his seat he began his tale, including all of what he tried.
"Well, as near as I can tell these are their natural forms," she said, looking at Alex's parents, then to a mass of readouts which appeared on floating screens. "They could revert to these forms when needed, then change to those of common mortals, sort of like your warrior transformation."
"We haven't needed these forms for quite some time now," Mrs. West said, tying her long magenta hair back with a bit of violet ribbon, "not since Alex realized his mutant powers, then gained the ability to transform into an armor clad defender of justice."
"Which is probably why we're stuck in these forms," Mr. West said as he polished his sword, "That's the only way I can explain it."
"So you both came from the time of the silver millennium?" Washu asked. Both nodded in reply. "And Alex here is also from that time period?" They nodded again.
"That could explain some of my strange abilities," Alex said as he went to work crunching numbers and such. A screen popped up in front of Washu, which displayed all of the tactical data necessary for each of Alex's many forms.
"I'll have to study all of the data closer," Washu said as several more screens popped up, "Alex, why don't you and Star go to the intergalactic anime exposition that's going on this week at the Greater Saturn Arms hotel and convention center?"
"But that costs a lot of money," Star said as he winked in on Alex's shoulder.
"I just so happen to have some connections," Washu said, giving Alex a pair of envelopes, "all expenses paid, hotel room, and a butt load of spending cash. The only catch is you need to find your own transportation there."
"Thanks Washu," Alex said, giving her a hug before he hugged his parents and teleported to his room to prepare for his trip.
"Now to look deeper into this," Washu said as she turned to all of her data, "this won't hurt a bit."

"Wow, I can't believe we're going to go to the coolest anime convention in the galaxy!" Alex exclaimed as he dressed in a costume for a mystic wood elf, "This is pixilacious!"
"Are you sure you want to dress like that?" Star asked as he grew into a large black panther.
"Hell yeah," Alex said, twirling before his mirror, "the cape is just right, I have easy access to my dimensional pockets, and my teleport ability will get us there just fine."
"Why do I dread when you say that?" Star asked as Alex opened a portal and stepped in. Star leapt in moments before a surge of cosmic energy sent the pair careening to heaven knows where...
