(takes place after Nick has collapsed
and Celia has warped club patrons
out)
"Celia, any word from Kelly yet?" Saturn
asked,
dropping to one knee, his warrior transformation reversing.
"We're almost go," she said, her cell phone
resting on her shoulder. "Wait... what's that Kel? Ok."
She clicked her cell phone shut and nodded
to Alex. "Charge is go."
"Activating level two charge," Alex said,
clicking the center of his wristband. A gentle blue glow encompassed
him
as the armor schematics for Kelly's aqua armor were downloaded.
"Charging
UP!" he shouted, holding his arm so that his wristband was level with
his
eyes. He then spread his arms to the sides, his clothes melting away as
a circle of water energy swirled up around his feet. Components of
silver
armor phased in on his wrists, forearms, shoulders, hips, shins, back,
chest, and up around his head. A ring of aqua light formed around his
navel,
splitting into two rings, one that spanned down his legs to form loose
fitting silver cargo pants and light gray boots, the other spanning up
his torso to form a light gray turtleneck, and a silver tunic with aqua
trim.
Outside the
club the media had already mobilized,
stations from all around the area covering what could have been a
tragedy
if certain forces hadn't been there. However, these forces were missing
one of their own at that moment, and all were worried.
"Is he dead?" Mina asked as she paced about
behind the crowds of people. "He should have reported in by now.
Standarded
operating procedure and all that."
"Mina, if you don't calm donw you'll pace
a hole into the pavement," Lita said, following behind the blond for
some
unknown reason.
"He has the charge armor of water," Celia
reminded them, "that comes with a good warrenty."
"But I don't want the warrenty!" Mina wailed,
grabbing the lapels of Celia's jacket. "I want HM!"
"And that sounded way wrong," Nick sighed,
coughing lightly.
Something crashed into several garbage cans
behind them, and they turned around to see Alex, still armor clad,
resting
atop the overturned cans.
"Heard somebody wanted me," he said, sitting
up and smirking a little, a banana peel draped over the headgear over
his
right ear.
"You fool," Mina said, pulling Alex to his
feet, "you had us worried." She then proceeded to kick him in the shin.
"Don't ever do that to us again."
"I'll remember that," he replied, dusting
himself off. "I'll also have to remember to wear thicker shin guards
next
time."
A glow encompassed Alex, and a moment later
he was back in street clothes. "I'll have to thank Kelly as well for
loaning
me that armor," he said, yawning. "Now, who wants to do what 'cause I'm
still in the mood to dance."
"I'm ready to sleep for a month or two," Nick
yawned, leaning against Merrick for support.
"Ditto," Celia said, yawning. "I'm, like,
totally wiped right now."
"Dance Dance Evolution!" Mina cheered,
bouncing
wildly. "Do it all night, do it with me, as hot as a fire and as strong
as a tree..."
"Exit running!" Merrick and Lita said,
dragging
Nick and Celia with them.
"Tokyo, how you doin'?!" Alex cried, following
the other four into the night.
<Mina realizes that she's been left behind
and runs to catch up with the others, flailing and shouting as the
camera
pans up towards the moon and stars in the sky>
