It was a dark and stormy night in the small town of Newport.  Kids were out trick - or - treating and playing pranks on unsuspecting citizens.  There were those who smashed pumpkins or put shaving cream everywhere, including the streets.  There were those who threw toilet paper all over the portable toilet at the high school.  But none dared approach the West house, or even the street it was on, for on this night the Mutant Crew was on the prowl.
     "Bogey at twelve o'clock,"  Alex called over his comm-link from a tree, "Matt, you see him?"
     "He's in my sights!"  Matt exclaimed over the connection, "He's got three dozen eggs and a couple rolls of toilet paper!"
     "I'm trying to pick him up on infrared band,"  Jubilee said over her comm-link, "but I just can't see him."
     "Try the ultraviolet band,"  Alex replied, "this guy has such a dark tan that he's practically glowing with ultraviolet energy."
     "Ok, I've got a fix on his location.  Richard, Dan, he's in your sector.  Take him out!"
     "Right!"  came over the comm-link from both of them, "Triple tech - Fire Zone!"
     The two dropped from their hiding spots and began a Max Cyclone maneuver.  Dan then added fire to the maneuver and the two gave the guy a hot foot and something to think about if he ever came near the street again.  As soon as the two completed their attack, they leapt back into the trees.
     "Alex, this is Richard.  We've stopped the guy.  Clean up, though, is yours."
     "I don't be thinking so,"  Alex replied, "I'm not cleaning up that mess.  That's Lizz's department!"
     "Um, excuse me.  Lizzy don't play that,"  came over the comm-link, "This is Lizz and there ain't no way in hell I'm cleaning that stuff up.  Tell Richard and Dan they can clean it up because it's in their sector!"
     "Oh, ok, fine!"  came back over the comm-link, "Alex, this is Dan.  Tell Lizz that I've used a Lava Wave spell to destroy the mess and she doesn't need to worry!"
     "Will you guys take care of your own problems!"  Alex yelled over the comm-link, "I'm sick and tired of getting involved, or, to be more exact, stuck in the middle of your crap!"
     "Fine!"  came over the comm-link from multiple sources, "Whatever!"
     "Ok, now that that's taken care of, does anyone see anything suspicious?"
     "I see something,"  Joss said over his comm-link.
     "What do you mean?"  Tod asked.
     "Look skyward and you'll see it!"
     The group looked to the sky in time to see two trails of light streak across the sky.  Then, to the disbelief of the teens, the lights stopped, turned around, and headed right for their location.  When the lights were too close for comfort, Alex, along with the others, took to the sky to avoid being destroyed.  The teens then split into four groups, everyone with either Lizz, Alex, Jubilee, or Jess as they became the Phoenix, the Thunderbird, the Flame Sphinx, or the Ice Dragon.  The four creatures split up, each heading in a different direction.  The Ice Dragon to the North, the Flame Sphinx to the East, the Phoenix to the South, and the Thunderbird to the West.  At this point it seemed like the alien visitors had won.  But that's where they were wrong.
     As the alien invaders had free reign on the town, the Mutant Crew trained for the ultimate battle between good and evil.  A week later the Mutant Crew returned to Newport.  When they arrived, they found the town, except for their houses, in ruins.  The two aliens were in the center of town, wrecking havoc on the remaining citizens.  When they saw the Mutant Crew's four beast transports, they took to the air and attempted to vaporize them.  But with the powers of the Mutant Crew the aliens were in for the fight of their lives.
     "Prepare for split maneuver on three!"  Alex called, "One... two... three.. SPLIT!"
     At that moment the four beasts split into fifteen smaller beasts, which became the Mutant Crew.  They touched down on the common, forming a perfect circle around the two invaders.
     "Time to waste them!"  Alex called to the others, "Ready for a battle guys and gals?"
     "Ready to rock and roll!"  the entire crew responded.
     "On three give it everything you've got!  One... two... THREE!!  Thunderbolt!"
     "Lava Wave!"
     "Delta Storm!"
     "Dark Eternal!"
     "Supreme Thunder Dragon!"
     "Special Beam Cannon Fire!"
     As the multiple elemental attacks converged on the two invaders, they took to the air and allowed the Mutant Crew to take itself out with their wimpy attacks.  When the smoke and dust cleared from the common, the Mutant Crew was still standing, this time in a new formation and still ready for battle.
     "Who are you people?!"  the tallest of the invaders said, "Your power levels seem low, yet you're capable of extreme power attacks."
     "WE,"  Amanda said, "are the Mutant Crew!  We stand for truth, justice, and just fight for the hell of it!"
     As she said that, her eyes glowed red once again, much like the first time she showed her dark powers.  She then emitted a large cloud of dark energy, which floated up to the two invaders and surrounded them.  The energy then crystallized and dropped them to the ground.
     "Time to take some readings,"  Alex said as he activated his VR visor, "Let's see... race: Seyian... power levels: the tall one has a power level of 600.  The short one has a power level of 590.  The tall one is named Ravitz and the short one is called Vegita."
     Just as Alex finished his readings, the two dark crystals shattered and the two Seyians were free.
     "We'll teach you to mess with Seyian warriors,"  Ravitz said, "for when the clouds clear away, you'll be history!"
     As if his comment were a cue, the clouds moved away and the full moon emerged.  The two Seyians looked to the sky and a couple seconds later they began a horrifying transformation.  When it finished there were two large, hairy, ape like beasts standing on the common, surrounded by the group of terrified teens.
     The two monsters looked at the teens, opened their mouths, and belched death rays.  The Mutant Crew dodged like crazy, trying to avoid being fried and also to provide a distraction and cover for Derek and Alex, who had taken to the sky in order to reverse the process.
     "Time to blow up the moon!"  Derek said, concentrating all his energy to one point, "I hope they can hold out for another few minutes."
     "I can pretty much take care of things now,"  Alex said, preparing for his ultimate energy blast, "but for optimum effect I'll need to cross beams with you."
     "I'm ready,"  Derek said a couple seconds later, "Special Beam Cannon... Fire!"
     "Crystal Shock Wave Pulse!"
     The moment the two beams crossed, it was almost certain to take care of the moon.  But one of the Seyians saw what the two were trying to do and belched a death beam at the two in the sky.  It completely missed Alex, but totally fried Derek to a crisp.  Derek's trench coat floated to the ground, followed by his remains, which turned to ash.
     The sight pissed Alex off royally, upsetting him even worse than the sight of Amanda almost going over to the side of evil.  He took a stance in mid - air which would give him optimum range for anything he had to do.
     "You shouldn't have done that!"  Alex said, tears forming at the corners of his eyes, "You just fried my best friend and now you'll pay!  Mercury Ice Bubbles... "
     With that he produced a good sized fog filled bubble.  He then went through the moves for Sailor Mercury's attack.  When he finished, the bubble increased in size and he spoke the final word in the attack.
     "... FREEZE!!"
     The bubble burst into a stream of smaller bubbles, which struck the monsters and froze them in large, thick blocks of ice.  The chilly prison incapacitated the Seyians long enough for Amanda to float up to Alex and assist him in blasting the moon.
     "Time to rock and roll!"  Amanda said, her eyes glowing red again, "Meteor Wave!"
     "Dark Energy Laser!"
     The two attacks blasted the moon to pieces before the eyes of the startled teens.  The Seyians, no longer under the power of the moon, reverted back to their original forms.  Amanda and Alex flew down to the large ice blocks and prepared for the final move of destruction.
     "For the murder of Derek J. Taylor,"  Alex said, "you shall pay with your lives!"
     "You killed my boyfriend!"  Amanda cried, her eyes going from red to blood red, "And I'll make sure your sorry butts burn in hell for that!"
     "Such large words for such an inferior species,"  Ravitz boasted, "for you will die the same way.  I really hate to kill such intelligent creatures, but I must.  Come, Vegita, for it is time to dispense with these worms!"
     With that, the two blocks of ice shattered and the two Seyians were free.  They floated up above the Mutant Crew and remained there for a few seconds.  That was when they released a high energy heat wave that burned everyone and everything for a radius of 700 feet.  They thought the Mutant Crew was done for.  But they were wrong once again.
     "Powers of the Nega - Moon!"
     The blasts of dark energy stunned the two Seyians for a couple minutes, just long enough for Alex, Amanda, and Richard to perform a move that could restore Derek.
     "Phoenix Down!"
     "Life!"
     "Aura Whirl!"
     When the three powers combined, they called our the final phrase that would activate the spell and would revive their friend.
     "Phoenix Rebirth!"
     A mighty fire bird appeared, opening a portal to the other side.  But nothing came out.  Amanda, her sadness felt by everyone, whispered the strongest healing power she had.
     "Active Life!"
     Suddenly, another portal opened, and this time Derek stepped out.  He ran over to where his trench coat was and covered himself the best he could, for he was bare - ass naked.  It was at this point that the Seyians broke free from Amanda's dark power field and took off for the high school.
     The Mutant Crew pursued, taking a quick detour to Alex's so Derek could get some new clothes.  They then continued to the high school.
     Once at the high school, they landed on the roof and proceeded to make a quick entrance in the vocational center.  But, like most plans, they had to split because they set off the alarm system.  But Alex came up with a plan to slip in unnoticed.
     "Juliet,"  Alex said, "do you have the Lunar Pen?"
     "Yes, I have it,"  Juliet said, "Why?"
     "Quick, give it here.  I have a plan how to get in!"
     No sooner then Juliet had handed the pen to Alex then he said, "all right, everyone take hold of the pen.  I'm going to give us a chance to get in unseen.  Disguise Power... make us invisible!"
     The moment the sparks and light vanished they knew they had succeeded.
     "This is too cool!"  Richard said, "But how are we supposed to see each other?"
     "We don't,"  Alex said, "and neither will the Seyians.  That's how perfect this plan is!"
     "I'll trust what you say,"  Amanda said, "so let's get going.  If you see a Seyian, blast him.  Otherwise, stay out of sight.  Let them think they've won and then let them have it!"
     "Right!"  everyone said as they entered.
     The moment they were in they were shrouded in darkness.  Slowly, ever so slowly and carefully did they make their way through the tech center, using every power they had to avoid the assorted cameras, motion detectors, and sensors that had been set up to get rid of burglars.
     When they finally reached the high school section, they were tired, but driven by the thought of the Seyians winning and taking over the planet.
     Alex was walking down one hallway, ready to fight when he needed to, when he had a head - on collision with something.  He quickly retreated to a dark corner and saw what he had run into.  It was Ravitz, the tallest Seyian, and he was patrolling the building.  Ravitz slowly turned to where Alex was standing, his eyepiece / sensor glowing with readings.  Alex, fearing for his life, rematerialized and used a very powerful attack.
     "Guardian Jupiter,"  Alex chanted, "bring storm clouds, bolts of lightning, wind and fire!  Jupiter... Thunder.. Crash!"
     The lightning bolts blasted through the air at high speeds.  But Ravitz was a bit faster, dodging the bolts and watching them fly down the hallway, where they blew a large hole in the wall at the far end.
     "Ok human, prepare to get fried,"  Ravitz said, "You may possess great power, but mine is far greater!"
     "Pick on someone your own size,"  a voice called, "or else we'll toast you!"
     "Yeah, so ya had better back off,"  another voice said, "Ready Jess?"
     "Ready Jubilee.  Time for a double attack.  Fire!"
     "Ice!"
     "Antipode 3!"  the two yelled.
     The powers of ice and fire combined to form a rain of flaming ice, which soon drained Ravitz of most of his power.
     "Time to finish the job,"  Alex said, "Mars Firestorm Flash!"
     The stream of flame toasted Ravitz and sent him to burn in hell.  But his death was quick to be avenged by Vegita, who happened to come around the corner as the flames were dying down.
     "You killed my brother!"  Vegita yelled, "And you must pay!"
     With that he shot off a double blast of energy.  The three teens dodged and set up a triple attack.
     "We need delta power," Jess said, "Fire!"
     "Water!"
     "Lightning!"
     "Delta Storm!"
     The three powers drained Vegita of most of his power, but he still had more in reserve.  He began a continuous stream of energy blasts that blew walls to bits in seconds.  But the extremely powerful shields that Alex could cast gave them enough time to call in the rest of the Mutant Crew.
     When they arrived, they all surrounded Vegita and prepared for a super attack.
     "Prepare to die, alien scum!"  Amanda said, her eyes glowing red again, "Because you're going to hell.  Ready for the ultimate Delta attack guys?!"
     "Ready!"  they all replied.
     "all right!  Shadow powers!"
     "Shadow!"  Derek called.
     "Fire!"  Jess chanted.
     "Ice!"  Jubilee shouted.
     "Water!"  Lizz yelled.
     "Lightning!"  Alex said.
     As their five powers combined, they called the final phrase to do their deed.
     "Ultimate Evil Impulse!"
     As the powers fried Vegita, the others gave them their powers in hopes of destroying the evil.  Finally, Juliet called upon her moon powers.
     "Moon Scepter Elimination!"
     As the last bit of moon energy struck Vegita, he disintegrated into a pile of ashes that were blown away by some invisible wind.  But the Mutant Crew defeated evil once again.  The group, severely drained of energy once again, collapsed in a heap of bodies.  Juliet, being the only one who still had some strength, used a scout teleport to send them home.
     Once at Alex's, though, their battle wasn't over, for there stood some FBI agents with some mean looking gear.
     "Alex West,"  their leader spoke, "I place you and the Mutant Crew under arrest!"
     "I don't be thinking so,"  Steve said, "We just battled two Seyians who almost destroyed us and the world and you're going to arrest us."
     "You demolished the common, half the school, the town, and someone needs to pay to have those two space craft towed."
     "Not going to be us,"  Tony said, speaking for the first time in a while, "And I'll stop you if I have to!"
     "I'm with him!"  Matt said, "So you'll have to put up with two!"
     "Make that three,"  Richard said, "I can kick some serious ass!"
     "Try four!"  Lizz said, "And I'm no wimpy female!"
     "Fine, if it's a fight you want, it's a fight you get,"  the leader said, "take them boys!"
     On his mark, the FBI agents opened fire on the Mutant Crew.  But before anything could strike them, a portal opened and out stepped Deborah, Nate, Serena, and Lita, all clad in samurai armor.  The shots deflected off their armor and reflected back at the agents, taking the guns right out of their hands.
     "Ok, boys,"  Deborah said, "you're messing with our friends and we don't like that."
     "Ah, go to your mommy kid,"  one of the agents said, "these are dangerous mutants and we're going to deal with them!"
     "Not if I can help it,"  Serena said, taking out her crescent - moon sword, "Crescent Moon Rain!"
     Once again Serena's sword gave off a moon beam, which brought forth a cloud, which showered the agents with deadly crescent moons.  But this time it was different because stars began to rain with the moons, taking care of the agents and cleaning things up.  But the leader still remained.
     "Time to reveal my true self!"  he said, "True... form... transformation!"
     With that the leader shed his human disguise and revealed his true self: a negaverse monster with hypnotic powers.
     "Follow the waves!"  he said, releasing hypnotic pulses from his fingers.
     "I don't be thinking so!"  Nate said, readying his swords, "Snake Bite Strike!"
     With that he swung his chain of swords around and lashed out with them.  They struck the monster head on, but didn't affect it in the least.
     "Ha, ha, that tickled!"  the monster laughed.
     "Well, chew on this,"  Deborah said, preparing to attack with her blade pack, "Web of Deception!"
     The six blades of the pack flew out and struck all around the monster.  They then emitted a sticky goo that formed a web that incapacitated the monster for a few moments.
     "Now for a true attack!"  Lita said, taking out her pike, "Thunderbird Bombardment!"
     As she spoke that, Lita spun her pike around, creating a portal.  Out of the portal flew many small thunderbirds, which struck the monster and eventually drained him a great deal.  But this monster was not to be destroyed so easily.
     The monster freed himself from the web and reflected the thunderbirds back at Lita and the other three armor clad heroes.  He then turned to the Mutant Crew and said, "I'll be catching ya' on the flip side!"
     With that he vanished, leaving the group to ask, "Who was that strange creature?"  After an hour, they dismissed the monster completely and collapsed into a deep sleep.  But they weren't aware that the monster would mimic a teacher at the high school when it reopened after Halloween and rebuilding.  Lucky enough, the Mutant Crew had survived cabbage night and everything after that.
