It was a rather abnormal day at Alex West's house.  There was a massive thunderstorm watch and his mom was getting the entire house ready for any natural disaster possible.
     "Hey, mom,"  Alex said as he walked down to the basement, "Whatcha' doing?"
     "I'm preparing this house in case a lava wave bursts out of the floor and starts to flood the basement,"  Alex's mom said, "The bar at the top of the stairs should keep it from going too far."
     "Uh, sure mom, what ever you say."
     Alex passed through the kitchen and headed for his bedroom, where his friend Joss was staying for a couple weeks.  He knocked on the door and waited.  A couple seconds later, Joss opened the door and asked Alex, "Whatcha' want?"
     "Oh, nothing much, just my CD player and my discs."
     "Sure, hold on a second."
     As soon as Alex got his CD player, he headed for the office, where he was staying while Joss was there.  He popped a good disc in his CD player, turned it on, and reclined on his bed.  He turned on the tv and flipped through the channels.  Playboy, Penthouse, Hustler, Spice, Cartoon, and many other channels he flipped past.  He finally decided to stay on the 'Ultra Gore Sci - Fi network' - All gore, all the time.  Alex began to get into the movie so much that he ended up in it.
     Alex looked around, trying to make heads or tails of his situation.   He finally spotted his friends Dan Jensen, Steve Huff, and Tod Whipple in there with him.  Steve walked toward Alex and asked, "What movie is this?"
     "I think it's called,"  Alex said, "'Freddy Kruger meets Jason: Showdown on Halloween with the Alien and the Leviathan'.  Ultra gory movie."
     "So how do we get out of here?"  Dan asked.
     "Well, we have to survive the movie.  It's that simple."
     "About as simple as explaining computers to an old man."  Tod said, "We need weapons to protect us from those monsters."
     "Apparently you've forgotten our gifts!"  Alex said.
     "Oh, yeah, our powers!"  Steve said, "Let's kick some ass!"
     With that, they took off through the movie.  Alex started blasting everything in sight with his psionic shuriken and the Phoenix's powers.  Dan, Steve, and Tod used their powers to clean up anything Alex missed.
     About two hours later, they completed the movie.  They saw an exit portal opening in front of them, but also saw the Leviathan moving in to block their escape.  Alex told Steve to blast it with his power beams.  Steve did that and the monster exploded into a mass of blood and guts.  The group ran for the portal and jumped through.  What happened after that was totally unexpected.
     "Hey, guys, what's up?"  Joss asked as the group appeared.
     "Well, we just survived a massive monster attack!"  Dan said, "What's happened around here while we were gone?"
     "Yeah,"  Alex said, "What happened?"
     "Oh, nothing much.  The storm passed.  That's it."
     "Cool!"  Steve said, "But right now I need a rest."
     "We all do!"  Tod said, "We all do."
     They all decided to watch the Hustler channel for the rest of the afternoon.
