It was a very awesome day for the Mutant Crew.  After getting the treasure in the North Pole and the vacation in Chicago that went wrong, they were ready for the rest they were getting at Richard Brodeur's lavish mansion.
     Derek, Tod, Steve, Dan, Jess, Cathy, and Alex were the only ones of the Mutant Crew who were going to enjoy the much needed pampering and rest.  Tony, Joss, and Jubilee were in France staying with Joss and his family.  The trip to Rick's was a long one, but it was worth it.  After a few hours of travel, the sight of the seven square mile mansion was a welcome sight.
     As they approached the door, it opened and there was Rick, dressed to a 'T' as in totally awesome.  He greeted them right off.
     "Hey guys,"  Rick said, "welcome.  You're just in time for the grand tour of my mansion."
     "Ultra cool!"  Alex said, "Let's motor!!"
     They followed Rick as he showed them their rooms, the grandly decorated bathrooms, the game rooms, the kitchen, and the pool in the basement.  The pool was twice the size of an Olympic sized pool.  Alex started to look around the pool a bit when Dan called for him to come to the movie theater.  Alex followed, not knowing that he had dropped his magic key and that there was a maniac on the loose.
     The movie was 'Phantasm 7: the Ultimate Dimension'.  Alex and the entire Mutant Crew were so freaked out by the movie that they ended up clinging onto each other in terror.  After the movie, they walked out of the theater with Alex saying, "That movie was so scary that I'll be sleeping with the lights on!"
     "My favorite part,"  Tod said, "was with the flying orb with the drill!"
     "That was ultra disgusting!"  Steve said.
     "Well, let's get back to our roo.... uh-oh!"  Alex said.
     "Uh-oh what?"  Dan asked.
     "My magic key.  It's gone!"
     "You dropped it!"  Cathy said, "Really bright Alex!"
     "Well, we'd better get searching!"  Jess said.
     They set out through the house, searching every room, but no luck.  The pool was the last place where they had to search so they all ran straight for it.  The second they got in there, they knew that their worst nightmare had come true.
     "Holy cow!!"  Dan said, "What it that coming out of the pool!!??"
     "It's a water being!"  Alex said, "If I had my key, I could destroy it!"
     "Is this what you're looking for?!"  Cathy said, holding up a familiar key.
     "Hey, my key!"  Alex said, "Where'd you find it?!"
     "I found it by the entrance.  Here, catch!"
     With that, Cathy tossed the key to Alex.  Alex caught it, put it around his neck, and in a few seconds was wearing his X-man armor.  The others saw this and they too powered up in their armor.  The water creature took one look at them and multiplied into many more frightening creatures.
     Alex used his Phoenix powers to boil some water and roast some monsters.  Dan crushed a few and froze a few more.  Jess used psionic energy to kill more while the others blasted away like crazy.  About half an hour later there wasn't enough monster to worry about.
     Rick entered the pool area in time to see the Mutant Crew cleaning up their mess.  He said, "Hey, there's someone here to see you."
     "Oh, who?"  Jess asked.
     "Your friends Joss, Jubilee, and Tony!"
     "Send them in!"  Dan said.
     When the three entered, the entire Mutant Crew knew that their much deserved vacation was about to begin.
