The Mutant Crew
in:
The Evil Witch of the Band.

It was half way through March of 1996 and the band of Newport, N.H. was preparing for their trip to Florida.  Alex West and Joss Tricot, two members of the Mutant Crew, were in D - block band, taught by Mrs. Holly Hoke.  For them it was a day like any.  Mrs. Hoke would walk in and she'd have a cow right away.  But today would be different.
"All right!"  Mrs. Hoke screamed as she walked into the cafeteria and up to her podium, "everyone give me lots of energy!  I want to get some major work done!"
"That doesn't sound like the Mrs. Hoke I know,"  Alex whispered to Joss.
"Do you think it's a plot by the negaverse?"  Joss asked.
"I'm not sure.  But if it is we're going to need assistance from our future counterparts."
"Did they trust you with the communicator?"
"Yeah, I'll call them in a couple minutes."
After Alex said that, he opened his sax case and immediately screamed, "This sucks!!  This can't be happening!!"
"What's going on over there?!"  Mrs. Hoke yelled.
"My sax is messed up,"  Alex said, "I can't play."
"Well, my tools are over by my desk,"  she said, pointing towards her office, "you can use them to fix it."
"Alex, don't forget to contact our help,"  Joss reminded Alex as he walked off stage.
As Alex opened the door to the office, he took out the communicator and activated it.
"Mutant Crew leader calling Ronin Warriors,"  Alex spoke into the mouthpiece, "we request assistance."
"This is Luna,"  came over the communicator, "what is the problem?"
"Well, our band teacher is a negaverse spy."
"Ok, I've got a lock on your coordinates and I'll be there in a couple minutes."
"But why don't you just send Sailor Mars or Sailor Venus or Sailor Jupiter?"
"They're on another mission here and I'm the only one in the apartment."
"Ok, we'll take whatever help we can get."
With that, Alex logged off.  A couple seconds later a portal appeared and Luna dropped out, landing on top of the piano in Mrs. Hoke's office.
"Now, what did you say the trouble was?"  Luna asked.
"Our band teacher is from the negaverse!"
"Let's see what the problem is."
They opened the office door and peaked in to the band stage just in time to see just about everyone in the band being drained of their energy.  The only people who weren't drained were Joss, Alex, and Dan Jensen, who came to class late.
"Dan,"  Alex whispered, "get in here!"
     "Why?"  Dan asked.
     "We have Mutant Crew business."
"Soon to be Sailor business,"  Luna said.  As soon as she finished her sentence, Dan and Alex watched as Luna jumped into the air and flipped five times, producing five power items, three sticks, one ring and one pendant.
"Alex, your ring,"  Luna said, giving the Saturn ring to Alex, "this will enable you to become like your future counterpart.  Just yell 'Saturn Planet Power'!  Same for Dan and Joss.  I'll get the other two power sticks to Derek and Tony.
"Ok,"  Alex said, "the chorus room is at the other end of the building.  You'll need a disguise."
"Don't worry about me.  Just transform!"
"Right,"  Dan said, "Sun Crystal Power!"
     "Saturn Planet Power!"
As soon as the two members of the Mutant Crew became Sailor Saturn and Sailor Sun, they proceeded to the darkened cafeteria.
"Hey, nega - scum!"  Alex / Sailor Saturn yelled, "Look this way!"
"May I help you?!"  the creature disguised as Mrs. Hoke asked, turning its head almost completely around.
"Yeah,"  Dan / Sailor Sun said, "we stand for trust and we stand for justice!"
"I'm Sailor Saturn, and if you value your life, you'll give those kids their energy back.  If not, you'll meet my rings and I guarantee they aren't the kind you'll want to wear on your fingers."
"And I'm Sailor Sun.  People might think of me as a nice person.  But underneath this cool exterior is a flaming hot temper so don't mess with us!"
"Well, Sailor brats, I'll make sure you don't mess with our plans ever again!"
With that the creature reverted back to its true form, which was more fitting for the occasion.  "I'm Harmonious and I'll knock you out with a sonic blast!"
As soon as the creature said that, it let out the most horrible scream that brought the two scouts to their knees.  As soon as Joss, who was hiding behind the bass drum, saw this, he leapt from his hiding place and crashed into the monster with his cannonball attack.  The creature, now thoroughly pissed off and extremely bruised, picked Joss up by the throat and proceeded to drain his energy.  But when the sign of Uranus appeared on Joss's forehead, Alex and Dan knew what they had to do.
"Uranus,"  Alex said, "it makes sense.  The Joss from the future was Sailor Uranus so why wouldn't the one here be Sailor Uranus!"
"Do you have his power stick?!"  Dan asked.
"Yes, and if I have a distraction I can get it to him."
"Ok, no sweat.  Flaming Sun Whip!"
As Dan said that, a solar prominence appeared from his hands.  He then whipped it around his head a couple times and sent it forth.  The fire whip wrapped around the creature's neck and stunned it.
"Joss,"  Alex yelled to his friend as he prepared for launch, "catch!"
With that, he threw the power stick through the air.  Joss caught it just as the creature freed itself from the whip.  It then sent another sonic shock wave that pinned both the Sailor Scouts to the wall.
Joss looked at the predicament that his friends were in, then at the power stick in his hands, then at the monster, then the power stick again and then he made up his mind.
"That's it!"  Joss yelled, "Uranus Planet Power!"
As soon as Joss had become Sailor Uranus, he leapt through the air and landed near his friends.  He then said, "Pretty good timing, huh?"
"Yeah, great,"  Dan said, "but could you please release us from this field?"
"Sure,"  Joss said, "but things are going to really rock and roll with this power.  World Shaking!"
As soon as the attack was in full effect, the cafeteria and the rest of the school, not to mention the surrounding area, began to shake like a 9.0 earthquake.  The one place it seemed to be felt in was the chorus room.

"What the hell is that?!"  Tony Clough asked Derek Taylor, who was sitting next to him in the chorus room at Newport High School.
"Feels like an earthquake,"  Derek said, "but it could be Sailor Uranus' attack."
     "But he's in the future!"
As soon as Tony said that, a strange woman showed up at the door.
"Excuse me,"  the woman said, "can I borrow Tony and Derek for a bit?"
"Sure,"  the chorus teacher, Mr. Eric Ruthenburg said, "take them for as long as you need.  They're not needed today.
As soon as Derek, Tony, and the strange woman were in the hallway and out of sight, the woman reverted back to her form as Luna.
     "What's wrong Luna?"  Tony asked.
"Your friends Dan, Joss, and Alex are battling a monster from the negaverse,"  Luna said, "and they're doing it as their future counterparts and they need the help of Sailors Neptune and Pluto."
"Right,"  Derek said, "You have a couple extra power sticks?"
"Right here,"  Luna said, giving them to Tony and Derek, "I'm sure you know how to transform."
"Sure.  Hang on Alex 'cause the calvary is on its way.  Pluto Planet Power!"
"I'm not about to be left out,"  Tony said, "Neptune Planet Power!"
As soon as they transformed, they ran for the cafeteria where pandemonium was breaking out.

It seemed hopeless for Sailor Saturn, Sailor Uranus, and Sailor Sun.  With Harmonious' sonic blasts, the Sailor Scouts were soon overpowered and plastered to the opposite wall.
"This is the most uncomfortable position I've ever been in,"  Alex said.
"You don't know discomfort until it feels like you're head's going to explode,"  Dan replied.
"That's a crock of crap!"  Joss yelled, "I'm pinned to the wall by my own gems and I have one that's an inch from cutting off my nuts!"
"Hey, ugly!"  a voice called from the exits, "When are ya' going to learn to pick on someone your own size!?"
"Let's nuke her!"  another voice said.
"Wouldn't it be more logical to wait for the others?"  a third voice said.
"Why don't you just shut up and nuke her?!"  a fourth voice said.
"Let's get it over with,"  a fifth voice said, "I have to get my car waxed.
"Bite me,"  a sixth voice called, "I'll nuke her.  I call upon the forces of water.  I call upon my namesake, the Hexagon Myst!"
As soon as the voice said that, two triangles of water appeared and began to swirl around until they joined on top of the creature, forming a six - pointed star.  The star swirled some more until it vanished, leaving the creature slightly drained.
"My turn,"  the first voice said, "and this one is going to be a blast, Philbrook style.  Psionic shuriken!"
With that the person's hands began to glow purple as psionic energy was channeled into them.  A couple seconds later shuriken formed.  The person then launched them at Harmonious.  The soon connected and exploded with tremendous force, knocking Harmonious through the wall at the back of the band room.
"Though water and psionic energy may take out a monster temporarily,"  the third voice said, "It takes fireworks to fry it to a crisp!"
The owner of the third voice then proceeded to launch plasmoids through the wall and fry the creature where it stood.  The monster got up and walked towards the person launching the plasmoids.
"You think your measly fireballs can destroy me?"  Harmonious said, "Well, you're wrong!"
"Hey, sleezeball!"  the fifth voice said, "Suck on this move.  Steve, Cathy, ready for the final kick?!"
"Ready!"  the fourth voice, now identified as Steve Huff said, "I call forth the powers of lightning!"
"Let's fry this unharmonious monster!"  the second voice, now identified as Cathy Hingston, said, "I call forth the powers of water.  Go for it Tod!"
As the powers of lightning and water combined, they formed an orb of shadow energy.
"Now's the best time for it!"  the fifth voice, identified as Tod Whipple, said, "Final Kick!!"
With that, Tod launched himself into the air and kicked through the orb and into Harmonious not once, not twice, but three times, stunning her just long enough for them to regroup.
"Ok, there are six of us here,"  the first voice, identified as Jess Philbrook, said, "where are the other five?"
"I believe three of them are pinned to the wall,"  the third voice, identified as Jubilee, said.
"I'll get them down,"  the sixth voice, identified as Lizz Newton, a.k.a. Hexagon Myst, said, "I call forth the powers of lightning to crash their bonds.  I call forth the sky gate!"
As Lizz finished her chant, large sheets of lightning blasted through the walls where Alex, Joss, and Dan were being held.  As soon as they were freed, they rejoined their friends.
"Nice timing,"  Alex said, "I was getting sick of that monster!"
"You're welcome,"  Jubilee said, "now, would you kindly explain the new threads."
Alex, Joss, and Dan looked at each other, then at the Mutant Crew, then at themselves again.  Dan then said, "It's kinda' hard to explain, but we're the Sailor Scouts."
"Cha'"  Cathy said, laughing sarcastically.  When she looked up to see the stern looks of Alex, Joss, and Dan, she said, "Oh, you're serious?"
     "Yup,"  Joss said, "we're serious."
As the three took turns explaining what had happened to their six friends, Harmonious recovered and let loose with a massive sonic blast that knocked out all nine of them.  Harmonious then bonded all of the group to the cafeteria walls and proceeded to drain their energy.

"Hurry you two,"  Luna yelled to Derek and Tony, "I have a feeling we're too late to save them!"
As they rounded the corner that led to the cafeteria, they could see that Harmonious was close to winning.
"We're too late,"  Luna said, "the Negaverse has won!"
"Not if I can help it,"  Tony said, "Neptune Seashell Cyclone!"
As soon as Tony called upon his attack, a tornado of super - sharp seashells flew towards the monster and trapped it, not to mention slicing it up.  The tornado died down a couple seconds later, leaving the monster severely drained.
"Way to go Tony,"  Derek said, "nice shooting!"
     "Good going scouts,"  Luna said.
Just then a portal appeared and the real Sailor Scouts tumbled out.
"Ouch, that hurt!"  Sailor Moon wailed.
"You're such a wimp Serena!"  Sailor Mars said.
     "You take that back!"
     "Why?  Does the truth hurt?!"
     "Why I ought to!"
     "You ought to what?!"
"Here we go again,"  Sailor Saturn said, "Hey, where are our past counter - parts?"
"In there, being drained by a nega - monster!"  Derek said.
"Let's get foggy,"  Sailor Mercury said, "Mercury Bubbles... Blast!"
As soon as the fog bank set in, all of the Sailor Scouts (both future ones and the two remaining from the past) entered the cafeteria and surrounded the monster.
"Let's feed it cafeteria food,"  Derek said, "that might kill it."
"It would,"  Sailor Moon said, "but it'd be better if I healed it.  Moon Healing Activation!"
As the moon - beam struck the monster, it became really enraged and charged at the person sending them in its direction, which was Sailor Moon.
"What the hell!"  Sailor Moon yelled, "Aaaaaaahhhhhhh!!"
"That sounded like Sailor Moon,"  Sailor Sun said.
"I'll shine some light on this situation,"  Sailor Pluto said, "Lightning Illumination!"
Several bursts of lightning illuminated the sky and evaporated the fog just in time for the others to see the monster draining the last of Sailor Moon's energy.
"Who's next?"  Harmonious said, looking at them hungrily.
"I'll take care of this,"  Sailor Mars said, "Mars Fire... Ignite!"
As soon as Sailor Mars' fireball was shot towards Harmonious, it was instantly sent back in her direction.  As it struck her, she was knocked into the wall and suspended by flame ties.
"I've had enough of this child's play,"  Harmonious said, "I'll just drain your energy right now!"
With that Harmonious released a sonic blast that incapacitated the rest of the Sailor Scouts.  She then drained their energy, or at least proceeded to.
Alex woke up feeling really groggy.  But when he saw the trouble the Mutant Crew and the Sailor Scouts were in, his anger began to electrify.  It continued to grow in intensity until an antenna similar to Sailor Jupiter's rose from his crown and began to collect electrical energy.
"I've had enough of this!"  Alex screamed, "Saturn anger electrify!"
As he said that, his bounds disintegrated and he dropped to the floor.  By now his anger was flaring in his eyes and he was spitting mad.
"Listen nega - scum.  You're toasted!"  Jupiter Thunderstorm..."
As he said that, lightning bolts swirled around his crown like a hurricane mass.  The electric charge continued to increase until he reached the end of his attack.
     "... Crash!"
As soon as he said that the lightning bolts blasted forth, freeing his friends and incinerating the monster until all that remained was a pile of moon - dust.
"Moon dusted!"  Sailor Moon said, rather weakly.
"Well, the band is re-energizing and we're free,"  Jubilee said, "but where is Mrs. Hoke?"
"Get me out of here!!"  came from a supply closet, which was locked by nega - energy.
"How about all of us blast it at once?"  Derek suggested.
"Why not all the Sailor Scouts,"  Steve said, "they're the ones who save our asses back there!"
"Let's do it,"  Sailor Moon said, "Moon... Scepter... Elimination!"
     "Mercury Ice storm Blast!"
     "Mars Firestorm Flash!"
     "Jupiter Thunderclap Zap!"
     "Venus Crescent Beam Smash!"
     "Ice Ring Strike!"
     "Gem Hurricane!"
     "Deep Submerge!"
     "Dead Scream."
     "Prominence Ultra Flare!"
The combined power of the Sailor Scouts not only took out the lock, but also the door, the wall, the ceiling, and a section of the parking lot.  But at least Mrs. Hoke was free.
"Uh, I think now would be a good time to leave,"  Sailor Venus said, "Lunar Time Teleport!"
As the Sailor Scouts disappeared into their time vortex, Mrs. Hoke walked over to the Mutant Crew and said, "would  someone please explain to me what the hell just happened?!"
"You ate some bad cafeteria food,"  Jess said, "why don't you just go and rest for a bit."
"Sounds good,"  Mrs. Hoke said as he left.

Later that afternoon, the entire Mutant Crew was gathered at Alex's house.  There, they contacted their future counterparts, the Sailor Scouts and the New Ronin Warriors.
"So, where were you when we needed help?"  Dan asked.
"Well,"  Mina said, "we were fighting this race of people called the Vidians, who steal body parts from people and put them in their own bodies.
"Uh, guys,"  Cathy called from the window, "you'd better see this."
"That's probably the Vidians,"  Amy said, butting in on the channel, "I just found something very disturbing in the time - space continuum.  That ship you're seeing.  Well, it's in our time and your time at the same time."
"Whatever you said,"  Joss said, "tends to make sense and no sense at the same time."
"Guys,"  Alex said, "we've got two missions at the same time and it's time to party!  Mutant Crew Style!"
With that, they headed out.  This time for an even bigger mission, but in two different time periods.

The End.
