What is Pop Warner Football?
A Community organization offering athletic and recreational opportunity for children.
Founded in 1929 by Joseph Tomlin and named after the famous Temple University coach, Glenn "Pop" Warner.
A National Organization which adheres to very strict safety and academic requirements.
Teams are located from coast to coast, and in three foreign countries.

Pop Warner Objectives
Familiarize children with the fundamentals of football and cheerleading.
Provide learning in an organized and supervised environment while keeping the game free from the pressure to win.
Overall Goal is to inspire youth to practice the ideal of sportsmanship, physical and scholastic fitness.

Education is Number One
Philosophy- Athletics and Academics go hand in hand.
Annual recognition of Scholastic record rather than Athletics.
Pop Warner’s corporate title is "Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc."
Sports programs can result in better grades.

Safety is Our Paramount Concern
According to the Consumer Products Safety Commission swimming, biking, skateboarding, etc., produce not only more injuries, but more serious injuries "per exposure" than does youth football. Basketball and soccer have an approximately equal injury rate as youth football.

Findings of the Institute of Sports Medicine & Athletic Trauma.
Pop Warner had low overall rate of injury.
Age and weight limit protects younger and lighter players.
Injury risk in Pop Warner is much less than higher ranks of football.
Medical care given was prompt and appropriate.
Pre-participation Health Screening- physicals required each year after April 1st.
Preparation for Medical Emergency - EMT’s required on the bench at every game.

Benefits to the Community

Display of community Involvement.
Coaches and Volunteers serve as positive role models.
Increased Play, increased studies has a valuable effect on our children.

About Our Association
We are a volunteer Association and hold general membership meetings monthly.
Our budget relies heavily on Fundraising and Community Support.
Number of Children participating in our Association increases every year.
We host Associations throughout New Hampshire.

Practice and Games
Practice begins August 1st and requires a ten hour per week commitment.
When school begins the practice schedule is reduced to six hours per week.
Sundays are game days. This rule is set by the New Hampshire Pop Warner Football Conference and assists associations in their quests to schedule fields that are in enormous demand. High School games are scheduled on Saturdays, which makes acquiring football fields and officials virtually impossible to schedule on the same day.
Our first game will be scheduled at the end of August.
