Chapter One- Angelic Portrayal
She saw him standing alone in the rain...his long blond hair was matted down against his pale face. His blue eyes sparkled like the rain the fell upon him...she wanted to talk to him...to touch him to see if he were real...She walked outside and stood near him...close enough to hear the softness of his breath. He glanced over at her and quickly looked away...surprised by her presence. Pretending as if she did not see him she turned in his direction and caught him staring at her. He opened his mouth to speak but no words came out. She looked away not knowing if she dare go up to him. He then slowly moved closer to her. Her body tensed up and she was overcome w/ a feeling that was quite new to her...nervousness. He took one last step and was face to face w/ her. He introduced himself as Taylor.
"I'm Claudia." she told him.
He extended his delicate hand for her to shake. She took it w/ grace.
"Are you from around here?" he asked. He held her hand as if he had let it go she'd disappear.
"No, I'm from Michigan...I'm visiting my friends Aunt." she said.
"Wow, that's quite a ways away. I live in Oklahoma. I'm here w/ my family for business."
The rain began to fall harder...he saw she was shivering so he pulled her inside the building that she had come from.
"Thanx...its getting cold out there." she smiled at him.
"Any thing for you." he said w/ a touch of nervousness in his voice.
"Will you be here long?" she asked.
"Months...till the project is done." he replied.
"Project?" she asked.
"Yeah...how long will you be here?" he said quickly changing the subject.
"Weeks...at most a month..we arrived here yesterday. Tatum, my friend I'm here w/ her. she wondered off though."
"Well...sometime while your here you'll have to come w/ me and my brothers, Zac and Ike somewhere, maybe the pier or the beach."
"I'd love to, only if Tatum can come too..." she said.
"Of course she can come." he said reassuring her.
He looked out the window they were standing in front of. He saw a white van pull up in front.
"Oh, I gotta go...I'll catch ya later Claudia." He squeezed her hand then was gone before she could say bye. He got in the van and shut the door. He rolled down the window and looked in her direction he smiled and ahe knew the smile was for her. She waited till the van was out of sight then began to look for her friend.
