~*~*~The Next Day At Lunch~*~*~
"Akiko, we've decided that we need to show you how to fit in around here." Laurie said.
"First of all, clothes are a big thing around here. We all shop at Pacific Sunwear and surf shops, stuff like that." Josie said.
"We'll take you shopping sometime. Secondly, our music. I suppose you listen to Manson right?" Laurie asked.
"Yeah, so?" Akiko asked seeing nothing wrong with listening to Manson.
"We all listen to punk. Green Day, Blink 182, Dropkick Murphys, stuff like that." Laurie answered.
"Are there cliques here?" Akiko asked.
"Yeah," Tay said,"1st you got us normal kids, skater punks most of us. Then, you got the "popular" people; jocks and cheerleaders; then come the smaller groups, such as the prepies, dorks and druggies." Tay said trying to explain everything to her all at once.
"You'll be like us in no time, don't worry." said Zac.
"Oh joy!" Akiko said sarcastically while laughing.
After school, everyone went back to Josie's house. Her twin brother, Cody was there.
"Hey Cody, sup?" Zac asked.
"Nothing, hey everyone." Cody greeted all his friends.
Josie noticed Akiko staring and practically drooling over her brother. "Uuuummmm...Akiko, this is my brother Cody. Cody, this is Akiko, she's new to California."
"Hey Akiko, nice to meet you." Cody said extending his hand for her to shake.
"You guys look so much alike!" Akiko exclaimed.
"We're twins." Cody answered her.
"Oh" Akiko said totally embarrassed by what she had just said. She also knew that she was defintely interested in Cody; a lot.
They all went up to Josie's room so Akiko could try on some "Californian" clothes. The girls look ed through a pile of clothes to find some stuff for her. She tried on t-shirts, pants, shorts, tanks, and bathing suits. After she got the suit on she came out. It was a skimpy little bikini.
"How do I look guys?" Akiko asked.
"Really.... good." Cody said with a crack in his voice and his face turning beet red.
"Cool, now you look like you're form California." Zac said.
As soon as Akiko left to try on a pair of board shorts and a tank top, Cody was urgently asking questions about her like,"Where'd she come from?" or "Does she have a boyfriend back home?".
"Cody, you like her don't you?" Josie asked.
What!!!???? yelled Cody.
"ooooooohhhhhhh..... Cody love Akiko, Cody loves Akiko!!!!" Zac sang.
"Shut up!!!! I don't want her to hear." Cody said trying to shut Zac up.
"C'mon Cody. We know you like her, you were totally checking her out!" Taylor said to Cody.
"Oh, whatever! Maybe I do like her, so what!" Cody whispered.
"It's, ok. We promise we won't tell her."
After Akiko was done trying things on, they all went to the beach.
"Zac, let's go get our boards." Josie said
Where'd they go?" asked Akiko.
"Oh, Zac and Jo are complete surfer freaks. Their motto is "I'd rather be surfing". Tay said.
"So in other words, they'll be in their own little world." Laurie said.
"Oh, do you guys like to surf?" Akiko asked.
"Yeah, sometimes. Not as much as them though." Tom said.
Josie and Zac came back with their boards and went to surf.
Laurie and Akiko said they wanted to go for a walk on the boardwalk so Tay and Cody instantly said they would too. They all started walking and saw a sign saying there was going to be a local punk band playing in about 20 minutes. Laurie and Akiko said they wanted to go so they went back to get Zac and Josie. They found them on the beach making out.
"Hey guys! There's a punk band doing a concert in about 20 minutes. C'mon, let's go!" Lauie exclaimed.
"Ok," Josie said getting up," come on babe."
"You guys always have to ruin our fun, don't you?" asked Zac laughing as he nodded towards Laurie and Akiko.
"Zac, you guys definetly kiss enough!" Akiko laughed.
"So?..." asked Zac.
"We're gonna miss the concert!" Tay exclaimed.
At the concert there was a HUGE mosh pit and Zac and Josie jumped in after awhile.
"Have you ever been in a mosh pit before?" Cody asked Akiko.
"uuuhhh....no." Akiko said.
"Wanna go in with me?"
"Sure!" Akiko said excitedly.
"Tay, Tom? Wanna go in with everyone else?" Laurie asked to two anxious guys.
"I thought you'd never ask!" Tom said.
"C'mon, let's go!" Tay exclaimed.
