Our December Holiday party was full of good friends, food and fun! What a wonderful combination! Kathy Brown did a fantastic job hosting our annual Holiday Party and Yankee Swap. No one walked away empty handed as the gifts were picked and passed around sometimes again and again! Pasta bowls, scented candles, a wreath, books, notecards and more enchanted their new recipients. The table overflowed with stuffed breads, candies, quiches, dips, casseroles and many other delights. Thanks to all who helped make this and every meeting such enjoyment.
Aloe was the topic of discussion at the Herb Connection's January meeting. Its use dates back nearly 4,000 years. Aloe's use as a medicinal herb has been well recorded as a treatment for burns, skin ulcers and parasites. Various uses of this magic healer were discussed. |
