I belonged to the New Hampshire Street Rod Association as well as the Seacoast Corvette Club. My love for fast cars led me to race them at several of the areas race tracks. The most memorable was New England Dragway located in Epping New Hampshire. I won there, once, racing class "O" pure stock in a 1962 Ford Falcon. As a kid in 1966, this was a fascinating thing for me. Now I look back and laugh. The speeds of some race cars reach three hundred miles per hour. My seventy miles per hour in that Falcon was a joke, but at the time it was fast.
