Kojiki was a very spoiled only child for 13 years until we moved into a house and Sadie (my first dog) came along. Up until that time, not having had a dog, I thought Kojiki acted more like a dog than a cat! She was never shy or timid and always had to be in the middle of things.
After holding her own against Sadie, she established herself as leader of the pack and informed any new dogs of her position right away. She would sit calmly and confidently and bat at them as they walked by, or hiss when they dared to get too close. She did have her favorites, though, like Alex, and was confortable cuddling with him from time to time. I believe that her job as pack leader is what kept her alive until she was 19 1/2. Kojiki was a very special kitty and everyone adored her!
