He was diagnosed with crachiopharyngeal acalasia, which is a muscle spasm in the pharynx, which does not allow correct swallowing, and causes aspiration of food into the lungs. This was successfully surgically corrected, but there was already pneumonia going on, which never responded well to antibiotics----and was what eventually caused his death.........
He was a real fighter, and was able to come through lots of hardships, but those little bacteria ended up winning. His little spirit will be remembered by lots of people, though........
