Commander Nova Abducted

In a story that has rocked the galaxy the former leader of the Solarion Empire Commander Nova was obducted by the INCOVER operatives working for the Federated Colonial States.

Commander Nova who was recently deposed as ruler of the Solarion Empire by Base 1. This took the galaxy by surprise, just as this happened the Solarion withdrew from the Chaos Contigency. At first many speculated that CC operatives were to blame, trying to save a former ally and help with recapture his empire. But alas they were wrong and the forever neutral FCS claimed responsibility.

Much debate has raged over Comm. Nova's safety in the Solarion Empire. The FCS asserts he would have been killed the Solarion claim he would have been demoted and "retrained". Who should you believe? I do not know. But the situation has escalated into a skirmish between the Solarion and FCS. The Solarion are going in to try and recover and try Comm. Nova and the FCS are out to protect their political refugee.

Update

A few empires have been attempting to organize a galactic tribunal to look into the FCS actions. So far it has met with extreme resistance by the FCS who claim a lack of neutrals. Personally the Ramtan Empire believes that the FCS had every right to attempt to rescue Nova. The MILITARY ships destroyed by the FCS were JUST TARGETS. They had orders to retrieve Nova. The FCS knowing that it would turn to force fired first and this has caused the large problem. The diplomatic ship that was reported damaged or destroyed was no ones fault except the Captain of the vessel. What is a diplomat ship doing confronting a military vessel??? Also how many empires send their diplomatic ships out without some kind of escort or defense.

CC Disbands

Late last week in a move that stunned, shocked, and relieved the galaxy the Chaos Contigency(CC) disbanded. The CC listed many reasons for their disbandment ranging from bad rep from negative propaganda to being abandoned by too many members and internal problems. The cause apperently appears to be a number of all of those things and a few more.

Some in the galaxy can and will not believe they are gone. But they are alas gone. A few empires in the Galactic Defense Initiative(GDI) and a few neutral empires brought up worries that the CC would use the wording of the end war treaty to attack separately. The CC responded by saying it would honor the agreement even as lone empires.

Just last week ladder members called for the CC's return to liven things back up but were met with a decline. The CC members currently maintain mutual defense treaties obligating defensive help for 4 months against attack.

GDI and LOE Rift

Now that the CC is gone animosity between the GDI and League of Empires(LOE) is beginning to be evident.

Many GDI nations and war hardened members have spoke out against the LOE unwillingness and lack of fufillment of their mutual treaty against the CC. The GDI said that the LOE never helped fight back the CC or offer to help fight them back throughout the war. This has left many GDI bitter toward the LOE. I do not think it will go to war, actually it is 100% unlikely that war will start between them.

In the late days of the CC there was rumors of a possible CC LOE non-aggression pact. The main reason the LOE gave for not signing it was only one CC member proposed it. The LOE did not realize the member who proposed it was the foreign minister and spoke for the alliance. What would have happened if the LOE signed the treaty? Would it have in fact canceled the GDI LOE mutual front pact?

One thing is certain these two alliances have drifted somewhat apart and one can only wonder how much weight or value the treaty actually carries now a days.

Update

The GDI cancels its treaty with the LOE. A move that doesnt shock many. Previous posts pointed toward this and it seemed like only a formality. The LOE has never been fully organized in the ladder. With its leader not willing to join and most of its members pretty muching sitting neutral they are not that effective.
