At birth I was given the name Baby M***. I was
adopted at six weeks old. My mother's name is said to be L****
she was 20 as was my birth father. My mother was said to have
contemplated marrying my birth father but decided not to. My non
identifying information said she gave me up because she had lived a
life of great poverty and that she did not feel she could provide for
me. The Dept of Welfare said she was very responsible and had
gotten her GED. I am portugeuese, american indian, english on my
mothers side and dutch/irish on my fathers. My maternal
grandparents are said to have been unstable and alcoholic. They
had 11 children that were all taken out of the home and placed in
foster care. The younger ones were said to have done well but the older
ones had had a hard time and were acting out. My mother was said
to have been attractive, dark hair and eyes, a sprinkle of freckles and
tall and slender. A few years ago a caseworker tried to locate my birth
mother, she was told from a distant relative I guess that my mother had
moved to California some years ago.
