I was born on Feb 20th, 1966 at 11:55 pm and was 6 lbs 6 ounces. I later was the poster boy for Childrens Friends and Services on 2 Richmond Street in Providence, RI. The Director of the Agency at that time was a Mr. George T Harper and my adoptive parents, Reverend Jay P and Priscilla Mitchell were introduced to me by a Mrs. Shaeffer. At that time they resided in west Warwick Rhode Island. My dad was the Methodist pastor in that town. I was the very first Catholic baby to be adopted by a non Catholic family in RI state history. at the time of adoption I was roughly 2 and1/2 years of age. I still have a copy of the agency brochure with my picture at that time on it entitled: "Adoption can bring Happiness" When I was 2 months old I had an operation for an inguinal hernia. Some of what I know from the notes that Mrs. Schaeffer took was that there were dogs names that I knew: Tommy, Princess, Boxer. I would like to find the rest of my family. My parents are wonderful people and understand perfectly. Please if you know something, contact me, David Mitchell
