Why Rikuo?
How many shrines to Rikuo can you name? Just this one, right? Riiiight. EXACTLY! *thwapthwap* Although, seriously, Rikuo is my favorite all time character. I have no clue why he is, to be honest. Lord Raptor has more of a personality than Rikuo, but the zombie lord is my second favorite, after Rikuo. So... like... what's up with that? Why is he my favorite? Um... well, other than being strong for his family after a lot of shit that happened to him, I have no clue? I just do. And I wanted to celebrate that obsession, and thus came Ocean Tears, one of the few remaining active Darkstalkers sites left. I just hope it stays active.
Why the name "Ocean Tears"?
Rikuo lives in water, thus the ocean is a very big deal to him. However, he basically has unshed tears. His entire frickin' kingdom was destroyed before him, but he continued living. So... like... I combined and Ocean Tears was created.
Why is your name "Alba Aulbath"?
I've had that name for a couple of years now. It's a combination of Rikuo's son's name (Alba) and his Japanese name (Aulbath).
Why is your Darkstalkers continuiety so @&$%ed up?
I typcially combine Japanese names with the English ones, and I also combine the anime, manga, and game together for my continuity. Basically, because a lot of the characters aren't given any depth, I give them more quirks to their personalities to what they appear to be to me. So, yes, I believe Morrigan and Demitri have something going on, and I also believe Felicia and Jon have something between them. But that's about it as far as romance for me goes in Darkstalkers. There's a lot of no right or wrong if you're writing them, so I take a lot of creative freedom.
