Shaggy, Scooby and Sabrina waited on the front steps of Velma’s condo. Waiting for her. “Hurry it up already!” Sabrina said, impatient.
To satisfy her uneasy sister, she came out in a jiffy. Velmas’ hair a mess, her clothing a mess, She looked a fright.
“Gee whiz Velma, you sure look spooky.” “Sorry. You rushed me.” “We’ll fix it on the way. Let’s go!”
Fred and Daphne waited in the mystery Machine while the three got their luggage.
They were invited to watch a Detective Competition. “Hello Mr. Sears.” “Hello Fred.”
“Why do you sound so uncertain?” “One of our best detectives, Detective Jenny Roberts, is missing. She’s one of the judges of the competition.”
“Why would someone kidnap a female detective?” “I don’t know Miss. Dinkley, but she looks like Miss. Sabrina, almost an exact duplicate. I got an idea to find Jenny Roberts!”
Sabrina, dressed exactly like Jenny Roberts, stepped out on the street. “I’m not doing this!” Sabrina whined. She ran back to Shaggy and clung on to him for dear life.
“There’s no way I’m getting kidnapped! NO WAY!” Sabrina complained. Mr. Sears got very distressed.
“Sabrina! You’ve got to!” “You’re such a wuss.” Daphne said, folding her arms. “I didn’t ask to look like Jenny Roberts! I was born this way.”
“Well Sabrina, you’ve been kidnapped like, six or seven times.” Fred pointed out.
“Like, cut the bull and get the point.” “Sabrina’s an expert at being kidnapped.” “I was never a decoy for being kidnapped those times! That’s my point!”
“This is apart of our main master plan.” “Explain.” “You, as our decoy detective, gets kidnapped and we track to where you are, and we’ll find where the kidnapper stashed Jenny Roberts.”
“You’re the main key here sis.” “Why do I have to wear high heal sandals, a short skirt and a tank top? I look like Daphne!”
“Thank you Sabrina.” Daphne snapped. “Because, those were the clothing that she wore the very day she was kidnapped.” Velma pointed out.
“Yeah, thanks for standing up for me little sis!” “I can’t believe you guys talked me into doing this!”
“Get on the street please!” “Why?” “This is the street that the kidnapper kidnapped Miss. Roberts.” “Like, go. Do this for me.”
Sabrina, not liking the idea, did what Freddy and Shaggy told her to do. The plan worked too well.
First of all, there were two kidnappers; second of all, they were looking for fresh meat.
They found that fresh meat, Sabrina, at the corner of 5th Avenue and Elm Street. They kidnapped Sabrina!
“The plans working!” “Too well!” “What have we done!” “We’ve got so save her, before she’s killed!”
Sabrina was kept, with Jenny Roberts, in a freezer like warehouse. “What are you doing dressed like me, miss.” “Sabrina Dinkley. And I was a decoy for a plan that Mr. Sears came up with.”
“You’ve met Mr. Sears?” “He’s a friend of Freddy Jones, who’s a friend of mine.” “Then they’re following you to find me.”
“Correct. In my opinion, it was a stupid plan.” “So they’re going to find us?” “That’s the plan.”
“Shut up in there!” “Why did they kidnap you?” “I knew too much.” “That a bad thing?”
“Oh, yeah, if you’re in the detective business. What co-op are you from?” “Mysteries Inc.” “You’re a member of Mysteries Inc?” “Yeah. Me, my friends and my sister.”
“That’s very close knit.” “How many times have you been kidnapped?” “Three. You?” “Seven.” “That’s a lot.” “I was first kidnapped in England.”
“Why were you in England?” “I was doing some studies there. Before I came back to go to Berkley College with my boyfriend. I befriended a thief, I didn’t know he was a thief at the time. Do you know about the Diamond of England?”
“Yeah. You’re the one who tracked down Ricardo Kininseki?” “Me and my sister, Velma Dinkley.” “That was in the Nashville times for weeks.”
“I didn’t know that it was that popular?” “Yeah. So, where you from?” “Nevada, but I was born and raised in Ohio.”
“I can’t find her!” Velma panicked. “This is big trouble!” “I saw a black car take her away.” Shaggy added. “What’s the license?” “DEC-KIDN 12” “What does that mean?” “It’s short for Detective Kidnappers. That’s what DEC KIN stands for.”
“How did you figure it out smarts?” “Think about it. DEC is short for Detective. KIDN, in layman’s terms is short for Kidnappers.” “We’ve got to find that license plate.” “There it is!”
“In that warehouse?” “Outside the warehouse.” “But there’s people out there!” “Guards most likely.”
Inside… “I think I’m going to freeze to death before I’m saved.” “Don’t worry Sabrina, we’ll be free. I hope.” The room fell into deep silence as the two shivered. They weren’t tied up, but locked into a big room.
