I'm Not Like That - Copyright 2000

A few days before Sabrina's first date with Shaggy…"I call to order, the first meeting of the 'Been dumped by Sabrina' club." Fred said.

There were seven others. "It looks like to me I'm not the only one locally that got dumped by Sabrina." The first guy said

"I get to finally meet Sabrina's favorite ex-boyfriend face to face." Kato said, folding his arms and sneered at Fred. "I'm her friend and co-worker!" Fred snapped. "Besides, you dated her for two weeks!"

"She left me before my big premiere of my movie!" Kato said. Sabrina had no idea that there was a club containing all seven of her ex-boyfriends.

"I really loved her." Said FBI Agent Blaque with a sigh. "I don't know what I did wrong." He continued. "You're a really sensitive man Agent Blaque." George remarked sarcastically.

"She hurt me." "How she do that?" "I was about to leave here, I told her to meet me here, but she never showed up." "She left me like that too."

Sabrina, Velma and Daphne walked into the Richie's restaurant and noticed the club and Fred. "Sabrina, aren't those men all your ex's?" Daphne asked. "There's Kato, Agent Black, George, Bill, Robert, Skip…and Fred?"

"Are or aren't they your ex's?" " 'Fraid so." "Nice to see them again, eh Sabrina?" Richie asked. "Not really Richie. It bothers me." Sabrina responded.

"Want to go somewhere else?" Velma asked. "Let's order take out instead. I have no reason to stay here." Sabrina said, folding her arms in anger but shuddered. Daphne didn't dare to approach the club.

Sabrina, Daphne and Velma ordered and waited for their take out. Agent Blaque turned around only to see long, orangish hair and a deep purple business suit with dangling legs sitting on a barstool. Sabrina had her back towards him.

"Isn't that Sabrina?" "Yeah. But I wouldn't bother her." "Why?" "Today hasn't been going her way." "Why?" "The cameras down at the station failed on her. She's taking the rap for it." "Is it her fault?" "No."

Velma's pager vibrated and Sabrina's beeped at the same time. So when they turned to read them, their heads collided. "Oh boy that hurt." Sabrina said, rubbing the injured area.

"Sorry sis." Velma took her pager and then Sabrina did. "It's alright." Sabrina said. Richie, the owner, and Daphne saw that. "You girls okay?" "We're fine. It happens all the time."

Sabrina read hers. "Two more days until our first date. But this message is urgent. Your mom called, the graveyard accidentally exhumed your grandmother's coffin."

"Exhumed Gramma Mandy's coffin?" Velma asked. "You got the same message too." Sabrina confirmed "Yeah." "What's wrong Velma?" Daph asked. "The graveyard keeper exhumed my grandmother's coffin."

"Richie!" "What Daphne?" "Speed up those orders. We've got an emergency!" "Speaking of orders, here they are." "Thanks." Sabrina said, paying him. "Keep the change." Sabrina said rushingly. "Come again!" Richie yelled back.

Fred and the seven men watched Sabrina leave. "What's going on?" "I don't know." "She didn't look happy."

At the graveyard, Shaggy waited for the three girls. He was freaking out majorly. Sabrina's purple beemer showed up in less than fifteen minutes. Daphne, Sabrina and Velma stepped out of the car. Shaggy got out of his car.

The graveyard keepers stood by the empty hole in the ground. Gramma Mandy's coffin was put right next to the headstone. Grampa Jack and Carroll were there too.

"Sabrina!" Grampa Jack hollered. "Girls! Over here." Sabrina, Velma, Daphne, Shaggy and Scooby went to where Grampa Jack and Carroll were.

"Mom, what's going on?" Velma asked. "Remember when your Grandmother Amanda died?" "Yeah. She was 'butchered'." "They were going to open the coffin." Grampa Jack continued. "What's stopping them?" Daphne asked.

"It's a witches seal. The one Sabrina's mentor put on." "I get where this is going!" Sabrina said. "We need you to break the seal." Carroll begged.

"Me?" "Yes." "I would if I could but, there's only one problem." "What Sabrina dear?" "You can't." "What!" "You have to saw it open or tear it apart. I'll repair the damages." Sabrina sighed. So, they sawed the coffin open. They finally got to see what they wish they didn't want to see.

Amanda Dinkley's throat was slashed, wrists slashed and the place where her organs had been were hollowed out like a jack-o-lantern. She wore her favorite outfit. She was preserved, after what her killer did to her.

"That's nasty!" Shaggy said, taking Sabrina into his arms, holding her. "Rah rasty." Scooby agreed. "Why are you guys exhuming her?" "They found her killer." "That's a relief." Velma said, trying hard to keep her tears away.

The police arrived. Coolsville Police Chief Zhao, from China, stepped out of his cruiser and stood next to Carroll. "Good evening ladies and gentlemen. We're here to collect evidence." "Go ahead. We're reliving memories." "You shouldn't ladies." Zhao said.

Sabrina looked into the coffin. "That still reminds me of the night that we discovered her." Zhao recalled. "Blood everywhere". So, they collected evidence and the cops left. Sabrina magically repaired the coffin.

"Okay." Sabrina said. A priest came by and did a reentry burial thing. Shaggy took Scooby home. Sabrina, Daphne and Velma returned to Richie's.

The meeting was still going on. Sabrina, Daphne and Velma walked to their usual table and sat down. Richie came out of the back and went to their table. Sabrina and Velma got up. "What went down a few hours back?"

"They exhumed our grandmother's grave." "What one." "Mandy's." "I heard about her murder." "She was butchered." "How?" "Throat slit, wrists slit, and her organs were hollowed out of her body." "That's disgusting."

"Well, you asked, we answered." "I'm sorry girls." He gave them both hugs, and for the heck of it, gave Daphne one too. "Everything's on the house tonight." "We'll have our usual." "Okay ladies." Richie left them alone.

The 'Dumped By Sabrina' Club had watched Sabrina come in. Eight pairs of eyes looked at her. "What's got her down." Agent Blaque asked as the eight turned back around. "Upset I guess." Kato said, irritated with Fred.

"No feelings what so ever." Fred shot back, looking at the girls. Agent Blaque made eye contact with Sabrina once, and saw the pain in her eyes. Sabrina wasn't looking at him, but glancing around the room.

"I just looked into Sabrina's eyes as she looked around." "So." "She's in pain." "How do you know that?" "I can read emotions."

The next morning at the station, Sabrina was on the set, looking though all the cameras. She was kinda depressed, hasn't smiled all morning and there was no one else at the station but herself.

Sabrina needed time to think about things. First off, there was a meeting of her ex-boyfriends, then Gramma Amanda's body being dug up again. Sabrina sat down in Daphne's chair on the set.

Daphne showed up a half-hour later and saw Sabrina sitting in her chair on the set, looking depressed. Sabrina knew that Daphne was there.

"Why does life have to be so unkind?" "I don't know Sabrina. Are you mad at anyone?" "I'm mad at Freddy, for making that dumb group!" Sabrina said, pounding her fist on the desk. Daphne sipped her coffee she got on the way to work.

Sabrina instantly felt the pain and shook her hand. "You're so sensitive to these things." Daphne said. "Come on, let's go for a walk around the station." "Why not." Sabrina got up and so did Daphne.

Daphne gave Sabrina bottled water she'd also got on the way to work. They talked while walking. The women were at the door when Fred showed up. "Morning Fred." "Morning Daphne."

He got right into Sabrina's face and waited for a response. "Get out of my face Fred Jones!" She said angrily. He backed off and the ladies finished their walk.

"What's eating her?" Fred asked when they were alone. "She only uses my full when she's…." "Angry. She's mad at me? Why?" "We were at Richie's last night. She saw you and all of her ex's."

"Sorry?" "You hurt her!" "Not as much as she hurt us!" "The graveyard owner dug up her grandmother last night and she had to relived how she was butchered But all you men can do is think about yourselves!"

"Oh my gosh. I didn't know that." "Now you do." "I've got to apologize." "Why don't you just leave her be for a while." Sabrina walked up to Daphne. "Daph, you got a phone call on line one." Sabrina said.

"Thanks Sabrina." Daphne walked away, and so did Sabrina. Shaggy arrived at the station to pick up Sabrina for lunch.

"Hey Sabrina." "Hey Shaggy." "Ready for lunch?" "Let's go." They went to Richie's for lunch. Sabrina told him how she felt. "I'm sooo depressed." "Don't be." Shaggy said.

Fred had another meeting right at the station during his lunch hour in his office. "She noticed us last night." "Wha…when…how?"

"She went to Richie's last night with Daphne and Velma and she saw all of us. Now she's mad at me." "She speaking to you?" "No."

Sabrina returned early and walked by his office. She eavesdropped on them. "She's a heartless woman." "It was her loss."

"Wait, didn't you dump her?" Blaque asked. "After she dumped me." Kato replied "She left me because solving mysteries were more important to her than love was." Agent Blaque said. Daphne noticed Sabrina pressed against the door.

"Sabrina!" "What?" Sabrina asked, getting away from the door. "Come with me." "Fine." Sabrina sighed in defeat.

In Daphne's office, they talked. "So, you were listening in." "I had to find out what they were saying about me. One called me heartless." Sabrina looked out the window.

"Shaggy, Fred, Velma and I know you're not heartless. You're a very caring woman." "One said that the reason why I left him because solving mysteries was more important than he was."

"That's not true." Daphne said. "I'd give up mysteries if I could. But it's my life. But I'm willing to love someone more than being a detective. I'm not what they think." Sabrina said. Daphne took pity on her.

"Wanna go tell them?" "I can't face them. They're trashing me as we speak." Sabrina said, in a panicking tone. The boys had bugged Daphne's office to hear what they were talking about.

"After my grandmother died, I started pushing Agent Blaque away because he was trying to push me to the point where I couldn't take it." "Did you love him?"

"I did." Sabrina replied. "He wasn't giving love to me and the love I gave him he threw back in my face by leaving me by myself while he was on 'assignments'."

She let out a slow breath before continuing. "He claimed that he really loved me. He was determined to get me to marry him in Vegas." Sabrina paused.

"I didn't know what he did on assignments. One night when I was at Velma's I got a call from another woman saying that she was dating him too and what he did on assignments. He took this girl named Shelby with him on assignments instead of me. I let Shelby have Blaque and months later, I met Skip…"

Daphne listened to her best friend spilling about her love life until it got to the present. "Now I got tomorrow night to face with Shaggy. It's our first date of being just more than best friends." Sabrina finished. Daphne took Sabrina to the set. "Okay Daphne, let's role."

They worked on the entertainment segment. Fred had no part of that what so ever. Shaggy came to the station and the set.

"Hey Sabrina. Tomorrow nights our big date." "I can't wait. I'm finally happy!" She gave him a kiss. But it led to them making out.

"Okay Sabrina." Sabrina stopped and looked at Daphne. "I'm sorry. We'll finish later, I promise." "Groovy." Shaggy watched the women work at their segment until it was a masterpiece. "Let's watch it."

So, they spent fifteen minutes watching their seven-minute segment. "You ladies are geniuses." Shaggy remarked.

The eight ex's left and met at Richie's restaurant. Sabrina got her make-out time in. Then Daphne and Sabrina went down to Richie's too. That's where Velma met the two. "Tonight's is when I approach the group." Sabrina said.

"Way to go Sabrina." Velma said, secretly cheering her sister on. "Sabrina…you sure that this is the right thing." "I'm sure. I've got to move in and destroy the group before Shaggy knows there was a group of my ex's!" Sabrina said.

The eight men were in for it that night and didn't know it. Sabrina's plan was to hear something offensive about her then move in with her girls. Which didn't take very long. "Come on girls. Let's show them what we're all about."

Sabrina, Daphne and Velma got up and stood behind one of the guys. "Hello Fred." Daphne said. "What a group you gathered Fred." Sabrina said. "Perfect timing guys!" Velma said.

Sabrina had angry tears coming down her face. Her face was getting redder and redder by the second from anger.

"How could you? How could you do something so mean to me? I thought you were my friend." "I am." "Friends don't do mean things to their friends."

"I'm sorry Sabrina. We didn't mean to hurt you." "If this was one way to get me back, all of you as a whole did a pretty good job. I don't think I can get over this. And what you guys said on how I dumped you, were your versions. I want the group abolished." Sabrina requested.

"Fine." Fred said, resting his chin in the palm of his hand. Sabrina was hurt beyond belief. She let it known too.

"I'm going back to the table." Sabrina said, leaving. Daphne and Velma stayed behind. "You men are ruthless! Are you guys happy that you devastated my sister?"

There was no response. "Are you guys happy about the pain you inflicted on Sabrina? Are you?" "No, not really. But she hurt us first."

"You know how destructible Sabrina is. And all you can think about is yourselves!" Daphne added. "I'm very sorry Daph." "Don't apologize to me. The one to apologize to is Sabrina. I'm her best friend. If you hurt her, you hurt me too." Daphne said, going towards Sabrina's table.

"You two don't look alike." "What do you mean." "For sisters you don't look alike." "We don't have to look alike to be a family unit." Velma replied.

She joined the other two. "What do we do now Fred?" Kato asked. "Why me? It was your idea to start this club Kato!" Fred said, downing a brew. "You're her co-worker." "Fine, I'll go apologize to her." Fred replied, getting up.

He walked up to the table and put a hand on Sabrina's shoulder. Fred bent down so he could whisper into her ear. "Look Sabrina, I'm sorry. It was Kato's idea to start the group. You didn't have to chew off my head."

"Leave me alone Freddy. You've done enough damage." Sabrina said. "Fine. I'll see ya at work tomorrow." He said, leaving. The next seven sorry men left at different times. Sabrina ate her dinner. She then left with her friend and her sister.

During the night at Fred's, Fred had a nightmare that Sabrina was coming after him with a knife though the streets of Coolsville after a meeting with the group.

Sabrina couldn't sleep on the other hand. She called Shaggy and they talked until both of them fell asleep at the same time.

To Sabrina, a call to Shaggy was all the comfort food she needed. Velma saw that she had the phone still on and she hung it up.

In the morning, Sabrina woke up and got dressed for work. She arrived at the station early. So did Fred. He had to do some thinking of his own.

Sabrina went right to work, making sure that the cameras worked and the technical unit worked too. Daphne and Journey arrived at the same time. Daphne went to find Sabrina. Journey went to find Fred.

Daphne found Sabrina inspecting the cameras. "Hey Sabrina. How well did you sleep last night?" "I couldn't sleep at all, then I called Shaggy and we talked everything out, until both of us fell asleep." Sabrina said. "That's great. Journey's going to talk some sense into Freddy." Daphne said. "Okay."

"What kinda man are ya? An insensitive jerk?" Journey asked. "Yeah." "You really hurt someone last night!" "How did you hear about it?"

"Daphne filled me in. I saw Sabrina this morning near the cameras. She looks very hurt." Journey said.

"Not as hurt as I saw her last night. I tried apologizing to her but she to me to get away from her." "That's a typical female response. Try again today." Journey paused. "Pull her aside and apologize privately." She finished.

"That's a nice idea. She needs to hear it from me." Fred said, getting up. "Don't do anything drastic!" "I won't."

Sabrina sat in her office as Fred came in. "Sabrina, may I speak to you for a moment?" Sabrina was giving him the silent treatment. "I'm soo very sorry for what I did to you. Kato started the club and he pulled me into it." Fred said, locking the door.

Dead silence. "No one's leaving until we work this out and it's okay if you're giving me the silent treatment. I deserve it. But I want you to hear me out."

Still dead silence. Sabrina sat motionless. "Those men were in love with you. So was I. I risked my chance of being with Daphne to be with you."

And finally…"You weren't there to see how they treated me, you weren't there to see how they made me feel. I was treated like dirt and made me feel worthless. I gave love to them and they threw it back into my face." "I didn't do that."

"I received relief when you and I dated. In the beginning, it was different than when I was dating those guys. You treated me like I wanted to be treated and made me feel like you loved me. Then you started to obsess about Daphne, and things just got out of hand. Then we fell into a rut. We argued and argued everyday about the littlest thing. Then we broke it off. I didn't break if off with you. We both did."

Sabrina threw a crumpled piece of paper into the trashcan. "When you started bringing my ex-boyfriends to Richie's every night, it brought back every disastrous memory I had with them. Every gut-wrenching feeling, more bad feelings from Agent Blaque."

"Why more bad feelings?" "He kept on leaving me for 'assignments.' His work was more important than I was. So when his mistress called me at Velma's when I was dating him, telling me he was cheating on me, I let Shelby have him. Skip and George did the same thing. They cheated on me."

"What happened with Kato, Bill and Robert?" "He only wanted a date to his premiere to his brand new movie. Bill moved all the way to Washington State and he broke up with me. Robert, well, I don't know what happened to us when I was with him. We sorta drifted apart. I accept your apology."

"Great. See ya on set."
