Ever since October 24th, our team has been participating
in something we called, "The Toonie Box". Each home game, every player
on our team would donate two dollars to the toonie box. Just before Christmas,
we donated a cheque of $316.00 to the Christian Life Centre, which is in
Ajax. The Centre works with the CHUM foundation to support families in
the Durham region at Christmas time. Food, clothing and gifts were some
of the things provided to the families. We all felt extremely happy to
know that we helped out in a big way, especially since it was so close
to Christmas!
