Today we went by Texas State University in San Marcos. It's actually a
nice school once you get used to the endless hills and stairs. If you ever
want to get in shape while attending school, this is definately the place.

The San Marcos River is close by where you can go swimming or tubbing.
There are great views of the town. Let's not forget the Outlet Mall as well!
San Marcos is a thriving little town indeed.

I also found out that, * "the 36th President of the United States spent his
college years in San Marcos while he attended what is now Texas State
University from 1927 to 1930. Here, he honed his political skills and
developed a strong commitment to education and civil rights." Any guesses
as to who it was? Lyndon B. Johnson!

The great big state of Texas sure is filled with some great history.
Hope my next trip will be soon! -- Nick
