April 27, 2008 - Sunday

Upon heading home after the Buda Weenie dog races, we drove
through Stockdale and decided to stop and look around. I was
thrilled to see some yummy watermelons!

Stockdale is a friendly little town in central Wilson County.
Located at the intersection of US 87 and Texas 123, Stockdale
is about 40 miles southeast of San Antonio and 25 miles south
of Seguin.

Stockdale is known for it's watermelon jubilee but unfortunately
it was too early in the year to get to it. It's held every 3rd weekend
in June. Perhaps next year we can get to it and have some nice cold
watermelon! Well, I think it's about time my human and I started
planning a trip OUTSIDE of Texas. Don't you think? Keep checking
back and I'll keep you updated. -- Nick
