Well, we have set out on our journey of two extremely long weeks!
We left at noon on Sunday and got to Tyler in the evening where
we stopped to grab a bite to eat before heading to the hotel.
As you can see, the Great State of Texas has done an excellent job at
getting us a REALLY nice room! It didn't take long before we went out
to eat around town as you can see in the picture of me with Carly and
Reggie, two other co-workers of my human that came to Tyler too.
We also went to the gym at the Rehabilitation Center a whole TWO times! =)
It is a nice facility though, courtesy of the Residents Inn, the hotel we were
staying at. When we had some free time, my human and I went to the Rose Garden
but it was not blooming season for the roses. I still got some great pictures.
After a long day at the garden, it was back to the hotel for some relaxing.
We also went to Brookshire's World of Wildlife Museum and Country Store
which features over 450 mounted examples of wildlife and a replica 1920's
grocery store. I can't say I was too thrilled to see my fellow animal kingdom
bretheren stuffed and mounted but I know that it is for the preservation of
these animals so that adults and children can experience them up close
however, there IS a zoo in Tyler too! It is still worth a visit and admission
is free.
