Midnight Madness
Rowdy, randy, loud.
They all quiet in the dark.
But soon, the shouts start.

They chant at the screen.
Some throw rice, some throw flowers.
They dance in the aisles.

I wish I was there,
My voice roaring with the crowd,
In sequins, sparkles.

I hear the music,
Let's do the Time Warp again,
And I heed the call.

But those around me,
They don't understand it.
They don't hear at all.
