World known and internationally published photo-realist, Bob Petillo, has had an extremely diversified painting career as a fine artist as well as an illustrator. His photo-realistic nostalgic and historical work bridges the gap between the two genres. He's been published in science fiction, fantasy, children's literature, and industrial illustration for the past 30 years. In the past 25 years, Petillo's work has diversified into a number of different directions. His science fiction/fantasy and children's book illustration has been published internationally. Along with book and magazine illustration, he has worked in the music industry designing concert art for rock bands in the 80's.
In 2000, Bob illustrated Magic and Harry Potter trading game cards.
Recently, Bob focused on a series of photo-realistic historical recreations. Now, with his recent work, Petillo begins a masterfully painted series of nostalgic keepsakes painted with a remarkable attention to detail.
And now,
Bob is painting his “Reflections of America” series, another photo-realistic nostalgic view of American Icons as reflected in great looking classic cars. Truly, this is his greatest work.

As an art teacher, I teach the vocabulary, techniques, and skills of the core of art education. The big lesson is simple. Allow yourself to dream and create. Keep your imagination alive and see it as a resource. Creativity is the natural blueprint to using your education.
