BLOOD ON THE BRICKS 2000

On January 22nd, 2000, BRAWL held its first anniversary show at "Imaginations" in Yardville NJ.

1. "The Defenders" Battleship & Jersey Hurricane, managed by Stacey, Defeated The American Tag Team Champions, "Savage Force", Savage Payne & Stud Machine with School Boy Seaman. Savage Force was double teaming Battleship, until Battleship made the tag to Hurricane. When Hurricane came in, he cleaned house on Savage Force. As he hit Savage Payne with the "Storm Warning" ( reverse DDT ), Stud made the save. Then Hurricane and Stud Brawled to the floor. BRAWL Senior Referee George Pinaha tried unsuccessfully to get Hurricane and Stud back in the ring. As the referee's back was turned, Battleship caught Savage Payne in the "Coastal Crab". School Boy Seaman hit Battleship with a Drop Kick in the back of the head. Seaman then bailed out and battered Hurricane all over the ring side area. Savage Payne then hit a "Savage Driver". He then applied Battleship's own finisher "The Coastal Crab". Stacey swiped "Savage Force's" loaded bag from the ring apron. She blasted Savage Payne. After that she put Battleship on top of Payne. 1,2,3, The Defenders regained the American Tag Titles. After the match she also Blasted Stud Machine. Savage Payne and Stud Machine argued all the way to the back.

Orphan Bubba came out and grabbed the mic. He said he was there for the North East Title. He issued a challenge to Dom DeVito and Chino Martinez. He demanded that he be allowed to compete in the "Ladder Match".

2. Hasheem Ali defeated Party Animal with a Belly to Belly Suplex. Both of these men were making their BRAWL Debut. It was a battle between Ali's Power and Party Animal's Speed. Suprisingly, The Veteren Party Animal held his own with the 310 lb. Ali. He took the early advantage with a series of quick moves ( Arm Drags, Drop Toe Hold, Etc.). But he was eventually caught.

3. "The Dark Warrior" Mason Storm defeated "Bazin" Bobby Basher. These guys really laid into each other. The end came after Mason Caught Basher with a small package.

4. The Freak and General Mussolini battled to a Double Count Out. Before the match began, Mussolini introduced his new tag partner, The Orphan and his new manager Foo Foo. Freak was introduced, and as they looked towards the locker room doors, Freak popped out of the mens room and sneak attacked the three from behind. He laid out Mussolini with his Toliet Seat, and he also Bloodied Foo Foo. During the match, Mussolini kept ducking out. Freak kept trying to get him. Finally, the two Brawled on the floor. Foo Foo and Orphan got involved. It became a double count out. After the bell was rung, Foo Foo, Mussolini, and Orphan pulled Freak in the ring. Orphan and Mussolini held Freak down and whipped him with Foo Foo's belt. Iron Mike Sharpe hit the ring to make the save. Iron Mike laid out Mussolini and Foo Foo. Orphan slipped out the back to saftey. Freak asked for a "Lumber Jack Match". Iron Mike then said, on March 4th in Yardville, Freak would face Mussolini in a "Lumber Jack Strap Match". He told Mussolini see how you like getting whipped.

5. "Savage Force", Stud Machine, School Boy Seaman, and Savage Payne defeated The Menace, Derik Starr and Tundra to become the first ever BRAWL Six Man Tag Team Champions. Early on, Tundra dominated the Team of "Savage Force". Half way through the match Tundra looked upset with his partners. Eventually, Derik and Tundra argued on the floor. Menace leaned over the ropes to talk to them. Tundra blasted Derik and Menace. As Menace turned around, Savage Payne hit a "Super Kick". "Savage Force" was then Presented with The Six Man Trophy.

Year End Awards Presentation: Lou Brunell, the voice of BRAWL Wrestling, and Iron Mike Sharpe presented the awards. Battleship received the Rookie of the Year. Stacey was awarded the Manager of the Year. Tag Team of the Year Went to "Savage Force". Wrestler of the Year was given to MAGIC. And a special Legend of the Year Award was given to Iron Mike Sharpe. When "Savage Force" came out to collect their award, they issued a challenge for an inter gender match for the six man trophy to Stacey, Battleship and Jersey Hurricane. The three agreed, and Iron Mike said it would happen in Yardville on March 4th.

6. Tundra won a Battle Royal for a shot at the North East Title on March 4th, when BRAWL returns to "Imaginations".

7. Duke Dastardly defeated MAGIC in a Hardcore no DQ match to become the new BRAWL American Heavyweight Champion. This was a brutal and solid matchup. They hit each other with just about anything they could find including, the Heavyweight Belt, a trashcan, a ladder, a chair, etc.. At one point MAGIC Hiptossed Dastardly into a Power Slam position on a metal folding chair. The end came when MAGIC went for the superplex off the top rope. As they landed, Dastardly rolled over it and hooked the pin. After the match, a Bruised and Battered, Dastardly said that respect has to be earned, and MAGIC earned his respect. If MAGIC ever needed anyone to watch his back, Dastardly would be there.

8. Dangerous Dom Devito won a three way ladder match against Chino Martinez(with Kane D in his corner) and Orphan, to retain his BRAWL North East Title. This match was action packed,here are some of the highlights. Devito proved to be one of the toughest guys on the indy scene. He took a dive off a 12' ladder in the ring onto the floor and got up to continue the match. He was attempting a plancha onto Chino, Kane D, and the Orphan. Unfortunately he missed his target. Words can not describe how the crowd went from an excited frenzy as he scaled to the top to dead silent as you could actually hear the thud as Devito hit the floor. Everyone was shocked and relieved as DeVito got to his feet.The back of his head bled heavily. Another ladder was brought into the ring at some point. Devito and Chino used the ladders to double team Orphan. Chino landed an elbow on Orphan, but when Devito went for a moonsault off the ladder, Chino rolled Orphan out of the way. Chino later baseball kicked Devito in the head with one of the ladders causing the front of his head to bleed as well. Soon after, Orpahn attempted to send Chino into the corner of the ring where one of the ladders was set up. Chino reversed him, sending Orphan into the ladder and breaking it in two. At one point when Orphan attempted to climb the ladder to get the belt, Kane D came in the ring to pull him off. The end came when Chino, Kane D, and the Orphan were brawling outside the ring. Devito took the opportunity to climb the ladder and get his belt. After the match, Tundra came out and chokeslammed Devito as an attempt to intimidate Devito for their matchup on March 4th. Devito got up and wasn't the least bit phased. He said he'll beat Tundra on March 4th. After the match DeVito went to the hospital to receive 7 stiches. It is amazing that is the extent of the damage after such a fall.
