Gangrel sighed as he got off the train to enter Canada. God dammit, why did his life have to be so empty? It seemed like so long ago that he was left on his own...Francais died a long time ago...He was Human...Then the slayer came and got his brother and sire. Alone again...Damn soul...At least if he was soulless he wouldn't be heartbroken 24/7. A companion would be nice...But who would want to befriend a vampire...And Gangrel didn't feel ready to sire yet. He settled on a bench and wrapped his large black coat around himself as a wind passed by. Adam pulled his coat tighter around himself and shivered as the winds blew by. His younger brother Jason looked at him. " You okay Adam?" he asked. He merely smiled at Jason. " As soon as we get home...I'll be great." he ruffled Jason's blond hair grinning. Jason swatted his hand away. " Quit it!" Adam laughed and continued along his way. Jason then smirked and grabbed the large black furry cowboy hat off of his brother's head. " HEY!!" Adam made a swipe for it and Jason laughed leaping away. " Give it back Jason!" " Come and get it!" The younger brother took off with Adam in pursuit. " JASON!!!" Gangrel looked up and saw the two brothers. Adam almost catching up to his brother Jason. Gangrel chuckled...He could tell that they were brothers. He remembered the good times he and Ice had. Adam managed to catch up and tackle his brother where he began to playful wrestle him on the ground. " Okay!! You can have the hat!" cried Jason laughing trying to escape. " I don't want it anymore!" shouted Adam. Gangrel smiled and got up..These two intrigued him and he slowly made his way over. Adam looked up and saw Gangrel. The Canadian frowned. There was something about this guy that he did not like. he got off of Jason and put himself in front of him as the younger brother started to get to his feet. Gangrel stopped in front of them. Adam looked at him curiously. " What do you want?" he asked. " My family back...How about you?" asked Gangrel coldly. Adam narrowed his eyes. Jason looked over Adam's shoulder at the vampire and then shivered. " Well..The freaks do come out at night," hissed Adam. He turned to Jason. "C'mon, let's get home Little One." Adam was taken by surprise with Gangrel got in front of them. " You're lucky you know...To have your younger brother with you," said Gangrel. " I...Know," said Adam suspiciously. Adam didn't like this newcomer...He felt threatened and was ready to fight to get himself and his brother out of harms way. Gangrel smiled at Adam's expression. " My, you certainly are on the Edge," said Gangrel. Adam narrowed his eyes and shoved Gangrel out of the way. " C'mon Jason!" He said quickening his pace with Jason hurrying to catch up with his older brother. " I'll be seeing you two again...Eh Adam?" laughed Gangrel. The older brother turned around glaring furiously at Gangrel. He then pulled Jason to his side and walked off again. Gangrel smiled to himself. He liked those two...The older brother had a fire inside of him that he admired and the younger seemed so spiritual...That would make good companions...They didn't start off on the right foot, but Gangrel would find a way to get those two by his side. One way or another.
2 hours later:
"Adam, I can't forget him!" Jason sighed.
"I know, little one... I know... I also can't forget him. Those eyes..." Adam wrapped his arms around his little brother. "You look tired. I think, we should go to sleep!"
"Yes... Let's talk tomorrow... Maybe we can forget about him..." He closed his eyes and fell asleep...
Gangrel smiled, as he heard Simons voice on the telephone. "I didn't know, that you were back."
"This is not funny, Gangrel. Please listen to me. We have problems. Miranda is dead..."
"What?" He couldn't believe this. "Tell me, that you are joking."
"I wish I could make a joke... but it's true. My sire is dead." "But... how? She is... she was a very strong vampire... and..." Simon cried. "Two new slayers killed her... These bastards arrived yesterday and killed her..." "Simon, calm down... Please tell me, what happened..." "I found her. She told me something about these two guys, before she died... Oh Gangrel, I wished they had killed me and not her..." Gangrel took a deep breath... "What did she tell you? Please Simon... tell me, what she told you!" "She said... that both slayers had long, blonde hair..." Gangrel was shocked. "Anything else?" "No... only, that's all... When I find these bastards... I swear you... I'll kill them..." 'I must find them... They can't be this slayers... they are too innocent...' Gangrel thought. "Simon? Are you sure, that she said this? Are you really sure?" "Yes!" He hung up. "Damn! I must find them... as soon as possible... I can't allow anyone to kill them!" He never saw another long hair blonde man in this town before... 'No, they are not the slayers...' He knew it... deep in his soul he knew it... Gangrel hated his vampire background in this minute... "Damn sun!"
THE NEXT NIGHT
Adam looked away from the wrestling program to see his little brother. Jason had long stopped eating the popcorn. ever since they had run into that weirdo the other night Jason has been as nervous as a long tailed cat at a rocking chair convention. He reached over and brushed some long blond hair out of his siblings face. Jason whimpered and looked up.
" Jason...Come on...If you continue to act like that you'll make yourself sick." Jason shivered and tried to eat popcorn but his stomach wouldn't allow him.
" I think it's a little late for that." Adam shook his head.
" Jason, you how you get."
" I can't help it....It's just...I didn't like the way that guy was looking at me! At us!"
" Jason..." Adam pulled his brother to his side. " He was just some crazy guy on the street...We probably won't see him again...Okay...Little One?" Jason nodded and rested his head on his brother's shoulder.
Gangrel had one hell of a time trying to find them. The two scents were very faint....But Gangrel had found his way to the Copeland's' home. He peeked into the window...He continued to deny that the two could possibly be slayers...If they were, they would have been able to point him out as one. He frowned...The younger one that he had taken a shining too looked ill...Big brother of course was now playing nursemaid getting him some saltines and water from the kitchen...Gangrel had to get them away before Simon came...He couldn't let the vampire kill the innocent...Dammit, there's that soul thing again! He took a deep breath and knocked onto the door and ran around to the other side of the house so that he could get in through a window.
Adam growled when the door knocked. He handed the glass of water to Jason and set the tray of crackers on the table in front of the TV.
" Eat this...I'll be right back," he told his brother. Jason nodded. Adam got up and started out of the lounging room to check the front door.
Gangrel seeing the protective older brother leave, opened the window up and climbed inside. Jason was in the midst of nibbling on a saltine after taking a large gulp of water. The vampire looked over the young brother. He would make a wonderful companion...His brother would be a benefit as well...But first things first. He knew he couldn't reason with them...Adam was much to protective and distrustful to go with him...He would get the younger one and then come back for him. " Jason..." Gangrel crooned. Jason sighed deeply and began to turn around. " Is that you Adam...?" His blue eyes widened in terror when he saw Gangrel. The vampire quickly clamped a hand over Jason's mouth not giving him the opportunity to cry for his brother. " Now, now...We mustn't have that...." Jason squirmed in Gangrel's hold but he easily held the sick brother and was able to get him up from the sofa. " We must go now...Don't you fret...I'll be back to get Adam." Jason whimpered as Gangrel dragged the struggling brother back to the window. He had not expected to get visited so quickly. " You bastard!!" Gangrel spun around and saw Adam. His eyes were wide and full of fury. " Get your hands off my brother!" He then raised his arms up letting out a scream and rushed right at Gangrel. Gangrel released Jason giving himself the opportunity to get out of the way of the charging brother. Adam quickly put himself in front of the trembling form on the floor. Gangrel tried to stare Adam down, but the Canadian was too full of adrenalin. " Get the hell out of our house!" " It's not safe here...You must come with me." " Bullshit! Get out of here before I call the cops! In fact, I should call them right now!" Gangrel smiled wickedly. " They would do you little good." Adam picked his brother up not letting his eyes leave the vampires. " Like hell they wouldn't....Get out of here..And I swear, if you try and come near my brother again..." " Who's going to stop me.....You?" Gangrel snapped. Adam's eyes narrowed but turned soft when Jason whimpered and hugged him begging for comfort. Adam wrapped his arms around his younger sibling. " It's okay...I'm here," he whispered to his brother. " Adam....Make him go away," cried Jason. Adam nodded and looked back up at Gangrel. " Are you still here? I thought I told you to get out!" Gangrel narrowed his eyes. " Boy, you have no concept of the danger that you and your brother are in...I'm trying to help you." " That's it!" snarled Adam. " I'm calling the cops!" "Please don't do that!" Gangrel looked at him. "Don't do that... because they will not believe you!"
"Leave us alone!" Adam was still angry. "Okay... calm down, Adam. I'll go... for now... But you can be sure, that I will come back..." Gangrel grinned and left the room through the window. Adam watched in shock. He ran to the window and looked down. "Nothing... he's gone..." "But... " Jason was so confused. Adam returned to him and placed him in his arms. "Don't worry. He's gone. I'm here... and I swear, that I won't allow anyone to hurt you!" Jason smiled at him... "Let's go to sleep. I'm very tired!" He took Adam's hand. Adam smiled and followed him... Two nights later: Jason and Adam walked down the street. They had forgotten what happened 2 days ago... They didn't notice that two men were watching them. "Are you sure?" asked one of the men to his friend. "Yes. They are vampires. Take a good look at them. They are very pale and they look very innocent. They let us all think, that they are harmless, but we won't be mislead. They are the two vampires we are looking for." "Okay, let's face them!" They followed Adam and Jason. "Hey... vampires!" Both Canadians whirled around and looked at them in surprise. Adam looked at his little brother. "What? Vampires? God, another two freaks. I think, we should leave this town!" Jason nodded silently. "We know, who you are... Two vampires... Hmm, where is your sire?" "Sire? What is a Sire? What the hell are you talking about?" Adam asked. One of the slayers took his cross. "You can't fool us! We know all about you. We are slayers... You understand? Vampire slayers..." "Let's go... This guys are dangerous!" Jason was scared. "Please, Adam..." "I think, you are right." They ran... but the slayers had the better condition. A battle started. One of the slayers hit Jason very hard. The young man fall down. "Now I have you, Vampire..." He raised his stake.
"Noooooooo..." Adam yelled. "Don't kill him... Please don't kill my little brother..." "We will kill you both!" The slayers were without mercy against vampires. "And you are the first who will die tonight!" In that moment Gangrel interfered. He killed the first slayer and held the second by his neck. "They are mine and you have no right... no right to hurt them!" He grinned and showed his fangs. "Oh God... you are their sire, aren't you?" asked the slayer. "No... hmm, not yet, but soon... and now die slayer!" He bit into his neck. Adam and Jason watched this scenario in terror. "Oh my god..." Gangrel pushed the dead slayer and looked him over. The slayer had long blond hair. They were the one's who killed Simon's Sire...Guess he saved him the trouble. Gangrel then turned around and looked at the two Canadians. Gangrel smiled at them. "I said, that I'd come back!" Adam narrowed his eyes and he pulled Jason up to his feet. " Okay...Now I don't know who the hell you are....But ever since you showed up...Our lives have been turning into a total hell." " I've been through Hell myself," Gangrel hissed back. " My family was killed by a slayer." he then chuckled. " Ironically enough, you two were almost done in by slayers." He then licked at the blood around his mouth and purred slightly. Jason began to fall to his feet, but Adam caught him and helped him up.
" What are you?" he asked darkly. " I would have thought you'd have caught on by now...I am a vampire." " That's it!" snapped Adam. " Toronto has gone to hell! I might as well start running amuck....Everything and everyone is crazy." Gangrel laughed showing his fangs and Jason shrank back. " I've been looking for companionship, and you two seem to be quite a choice." " Hey!" snapped Adam pointing a finger at the vampire. " We live in Toronto Canada Fang Boy. I don't think we're going to go crawling over to whatever hell hole you came from." Gangrel frowned and lowered his sunglasses revealing his blue eyes. " Boy....You have no idea whom you're dealing with...Do you? If I want you two as my companions...Then dammit, you WILL be by my side." " Screw you!" snarled Adam. " I save your lives and this is my thanks?" hissed Gangrel. " Well, maybe if you wouldn't act like such a jackass, you'd get a little more respect," hissed the older brother. He then tugged on Jason's sleeve. "C'mon Little One." Gangrel folded his arms. " We'll just see Adam...You'll be my side...Just wait and you'll see." Adam glared furiously at the vampire. Gangrel just smiled. " Maybe I'll start off with little Jason there." That made Adam spin around. " You stay the hell away from him...If you come near him, God help me I'll rip those teeth right out of your mouth." Gangrel shook his head. " Well Adam...You can try what you want...But...keep this in mind...You cannot stop me...I am more powerful than you, and I can do what I want...And, if Jason is in my interest as a companion...Soon you shall see him by my side like an obedient puppy." Jason backed away and his breathing increased. " Adam...Can we go home now...Please?" Adam nodded not releasing his glare with Gangrel. " Yes Little One...We're going home...WITHOUT the presence of...." " Gangrel..." he said quickly. Adam narrowed his eyes and the vampire's smile widened. " My name is Gangrel." " Whatever," hissed Adam. He then turned around and stormed off with Jason by his side. Gangrel clicked his tongue against his fangs for a few moments...Adam really thought he could protect his brother from him? What a joke...He'd need to get some materials and then return to the
Part 2
" Whatever," hissed Adam. He then turned around and stormed off with Jason by his side. Gangrel clicked his tongue against his fangs for a few moments...Adam really thought he could protect his brother from him? What a joke...He'd need to get some materials and then return to the Copeland's home when they were asleep. Gangrel placed the coiled rope around his shoulder as he wandered about the outside of the house. The lights were off. That was a good sign. He carefully messed with the front lock of the door and after a small amount of picking, the door had opened. " Hmm...They just don't make locks like they used to," he chuckled under his breath. The vampire silently wandered through the halls until he could hear distinct snoring. Inside one room...He found Adam. He was under his covers with a wrestling magazine just barely being held onto by his hand. ' The Canadian blond's into wrestling,' the vampire thought. He shook his head and move onto the next room...Ah...Here's who he was looking for. The younger brother Jason was curled up tight in a blanket and sleeping peacefully. Gangrel carefully removed the rope from around his shoulder. He then got out a roll of duct tape and used one of his sharp fangs to cut a piece from it. The vampire worked quickly as was always his nature. He placed the tape over the younger brother's mouth and pinned him to the bed stomach down. " Hello Jason," he hissed. He smiled as the brother squirmed. Gangrel got the rope and proceeded to tie the wrists of Jason behind his back. " You know, this would have been much simpler if you just decided to come with me...But, we'll do this your way...Or shall I say...Adam's way?" Gangrel reached into his pocket, removing a letter. He held it in front of Jason's blue eyes to read. ' I have my companion...But I want one more...Soon you will realize that you were meant to be part of this line that shall be the unholy trio. Farewell for now Adam -Gangrel' Jason squirmed and that only made Gangrel grip his arms tighter. " I'm not a man of many words...But I believe that my point will be brought across," he whispered wickedly. He then easily picked Jason up and put him over his shoulder. " Now then....Shall we?" He chuckled again but more cautiously peeking into Adam's room....No...He was still snoring like a log. Gangrel could feel the brother's frantic struggles when the vampire stopped in front of Adam's room. " Do not fret Little One...Soon he will be with us as well." He then carried Jason out of the house to a car and placed him in the backseat. There he proceeded to the hotel where he was staying.
He knew he wouldn't be able to keep the young man bound forever but a thought crossed along his mind as he was driving. "Yes...Of course." Gangrel stopped at the hotel and made his way around the car opening the back door. " My dear Jason, we have quite a night ahead of us."Gangrel smiled when he saw the fear in Jason's eyes. He took the brother by his arm and pulled him out of the car. He then dragged the struggling young man to his room and threw him onto the bed. Gangrel sighed as he removed his sunglasses and coat. " Now, I know that you and Adam are not familiar with vampire's ways, but the process of what I'm about to do is the method of making a Ghoul." he smiled at the younger brother. "Do you know what that is?" Trembling, Jason shook his head. " It's a way of making a human do a vampire's bidding...You will be by my side Jason....No..." Gangrel rubbed his chin as he looked the brother over. He then shook his head. " No, that name just won't do...Now let me see..." The vampire scanned around the room looking for inspiration. His eyes then focused on a bible that was on the night table. " Yes...Christian." he turned to Jason. " I shall name you Christian." He then made his was over and the brother cringed as he got close. " Don't worry..." he said. Jason whimpered as he felt Gangrel's hot breath on his neck. " The pain doesn't last long." After saying that, he sunk his fangs into Jason's neck. Hamarabi taught him this method...After Francais, Hamarabi knew that his children may some day not wish to sire, but have someone by their side that could do errands in the sun. After taking his due from the young man he rested his hand on Jason's forehead and his eyes began to glow..." Now listen...You are mine...You do as I say....You have loyalty to no one but me...You are my Ghoul...You are Christian." Gangrel smiled when the fear disappeared from the younger brother's eyes. He knew it was done...Christian was born that night. In the next morning Adam woke up with a scream. "JASON!" He slid out of his bed and ran into the bedroom of his little brother. Jason was gone... "Damn... Jay... please, this is not funny!" He looked in every little corner and hoped that Jason was just joking with him... but he was gone...Tears fall down Adam's cheeks. "Damn you, Gangrel. When I find you I'll kill you... I swear this!" He knew, that the vampire kidnapped his brother. He knew, that he couldn't go to the police. They wouldn't believe him... No one would believe him... Hours later, as the sun goes down, Gangrel woke up. Christian laid in his arms... he was still sleeping... The vampire smiled. 'Jason is dead... and my little Christian is born...' he thought. "Chrissy?" He spoke softly. Christian opened his eyes. "Gangrel?" he asked shyly. "Yes... I'm here..." "Where is Adam?" "Adam is not here, little one... We should visit him... Hmm, better not. You must learn... there is so much to learn...but don't worry. I'll teach you all that I know." Christian wrapped his arms around him. "Please let us go to Adam. I want to see my brother..."
Gangrel was surprised about his new companion. Jason was so afraid of him, but Christian had no signs of fear. "Okay, later... But now, you must be thirsty." He brought him a bottle of water. "Drink this." Christian was very thirsty and he drunk all of the water. " Can we now go to Adam?" "Of course Christian!" He touched his cheek gently. Adam felt so alone... so scared... so lost... without his little brother. "Please come back to me, Jay. I miss you!" But deep in his heart he knew, that Jason was lost... forever... "Adam!" Adam whirled around. "Jason?" He was shocked, as he saw his brother... side by side with that goddamn vampire. "Jason's gone... My name is Christian!" said the young Canadian. "What? What the hell you are talking about? Jason, this is not funny!" "It's true!" Gangrel told him. "He's now mine...A ghoul… and his name is Christian!" "What have you done to him, you son of a bitch?" Adam was very angry. "You know." Gangrel was relaxed. He looked at him and smiled. "You can join us, if you want. I want to have you on Christian's and my side... Please Adam, come with us!" "No... never... You are a monster..." His eyes walked to Jason. "Please come here. I'll protect you from this…freak!" "He's a vampire, Adam... and I'm his Ghoul. Please come with us. I need you." He looked so innocent. "Please, Adam. I love you, big brother... please!" Christian looked at his sire. "Please do something!" He begged. "Sorry, Christian, but he's too strong. I can't do this against his will. I'm so sorry..." Christian walked closer to his brother. "Adam... Please come with us!" Adam looked at him in shock and walked one step back... "No..." He saw the cruel truth. This was not Jason, his brother. This was a creature that looked like him. "You are no longer my brother. Jason is dead... You are not my brother..." It hurts so much... Adam collapsed in tears. "Jason..." He cried...Gangrel and Christian looked at each other. "We have to go now!" Gangrel told his companion. Christian nodded. They left the room and left Adam alone... "Sooner or later he'll join us! I know it!" Gangrel took Christian's Hand. "We'll leave this town tomorrow... Adam will find us and than I'll change him..." The next morning Adam still felt so alone... He was lost without his brother... lost in his own little hell... lost in his pain...
Gangrel leaned back against the seat of the train that would take them from Toronto and lead them to New York. He figured that would be a good spot to go. He had left a note at the Copeland's letting Adam know where they were going. He didn't want to lose track of the older brother. He desperately wanted him as his companion. He had Christian...Now all he needed was Adam...Or as the name he chose for him...Edge. Christian was silent, watching the scenery pass quickly through the window. His eyes were locked in thought. Gangrel knew that the young man had been spiritual...But now, he knew that since he became his ghoul. " Christian?" asked Gangrel. The young blond turned away from the window to look at him. " Adam will be joining us soon." He nodded. " But...If he...For some reason declines my offer once more...What say we have a little fun?" " You mean...Hurt my brother?" he asked quietly. " If necessary...You do my bidding Christian...Remember...You are my Ghoul." He nodded and returned his look to outside the window. Adam growled and wiped some tears of fury from his eyes as he rapidly packed his suitcase. That bastard Gangrel was stupid enough to let him know where he was going with his brother...That would be a mistake. " I'm going hunt him down...Kill him....And free my brother," he growled. He got out his favorite necklace that had a silver cross on it and placed it around his neck. " I'm coming Little One...Big brother's on the way!" He then put on his long black coat, locked up and left for the train station to get a ticket to New York. When he bought the ticket, he waited patiently for the train to arrive. When it did, he took one last look around. " Goodbye Canada." He then entered the train and so began his quest for Gangrel and his brother. Gangrel yawned when the train arrived. It was still dark out, but almost morning. " We must move fast. I have to get to safety before the sun rises." Christian nodded and followed Gangrel off the train and to A Holiday Inn, where they checked in. The two made their way to their room. Once inside, Gangrel closed all the drapes to prevent an unwanted sunlight from entering. Christian climbed into a bed and yawned. " You are sleepy my little Christian?" The young blond nodded. " Then rest...I will wake you when necessary." Christian nodded again and then got under the covers. Gangrel settled in the bed next to Christian's and leaned back. Soon enough, Adam would come and Gangrel could then make his offer to Adam to join him...If he once again refused to come home with him and his Christian, then things would start to get very serious. Adam arrived in New York one day later. He was very tired, but too angry, to go to sleep. 'I must find Jason... maybe I can rescue him from this freak...' He made a big mistake when he let them go. 'Idiot... he's still your brother!' He thought to himself. 'Christian... or whatever his new name is... is still my brother.' He sighed.
"Wake up, little one..." Gangrel was on his side, as Christian opened his eyes. He smiled, as he saw his sire. "Morning, Grel... hmm..." He looked at the window. "Evening?" Gangrel nodded. "Are you okay?" he asked worried. "Yeah, sure... but I miss my brother." Gangrel touched his face gently. "I know... but I have good news for you. Adam's here!" "What? He's here in New York?" He smiled. "Wow... he followed us... but how do know this?" Gangrel grinned. "I can feel him... and he's worried about you. He still loves you..." He took the hand of his young companion. "Let's go and have fun. Maybe Adam will find and join us!" "Gangrel, can you do me a favor?" "Sure, Christian... whatever you want!" "Please don't hurt him... please promise me, that you'll not hurt him, if he doesn't want to join us!" Gangrel saw in his beautiful green-blue eyes. "Okay, I swear... but if he hurts you... or me... You know, what I mean!" He looked at him and saw, that Christian understands this. "But I think, this is not necessary. I believe that he'll join us... voluntary..." They gone to one of Gangrel's favorite places... an underground club called "The Raven". Christian was amazed from the life in this club. "Do you like it here?" asked Gangrel. "This place is fantastic. You come here often?" Christian looked around. The music was his kind... and all the people here looked so... knowing... "So off and on..." Gangrel placed one arm around his companion. Then he sensed something... "He's here... Adam is here!" he told Christian. "What?" Christian looked around... and saw him... Adam stood in a dark corner and watched them... without any emotion in his face... Gangrel smiled and slowly waved him over. Adam's eyes narrowed as he stalked forward. Gangrel didn't like the expression on his face, but he stayed seated at a booth with Christian by his side. Adam sat down in front of them. He looked at Christian.
" Jason...Are you okay?" " That's not my name Adam," he answered simply. Adam shot Gangrel a murderous look. " Undo whatever you did to him," he growled. Gangrel shook his head and looked at him amused. " That is impossible...It cannot be reversed. " Adam then reached over and grabbed Gangrel by his collar and almost dragged him across the table. " Undo what you did or I'll wipe the walls with you," he snarled. Gangrel pulled out of his hold as Christian watched on worried. " Adam...Won't you join us?" cried the younger brother. Adam stared at Christian. " Jas...Christian...Don't you have any concept of what happened. He took you from our home against your will...He brainwashed you...Little brother...If anything, won't you come home with me...Come back home to Toronto." He bit his lip and looked back at his sibling. " I have two tickets for back home...One is for me, the other is for you...So please...Come home." Gangrel narrowed his eyes. " His home is with me now," stated Gangrel coldly. " You shut up freak!" snarled Adam. He looked back at Christian. " Christian...You're coming home...Now come on." " Adam...Please...Just stay here...We'd be so happy here with Gangrel." " God almighty, do you know what you're saying?" cried Adam. " You won't join us then?" asked Gangrel. Adam narrowed his eyes and pulled out the silver cross of the necklace that was hidden under his shirt. Gangrel hissed and leaped out of the booth to escape connection with the cross. " Gangrel!" yelped Christian. He leaped out and was by Gangrel and hovering over him. " Are you okay?" Adam wanted to this opportunity. He rushed over and took his brother's arm. " C'mon Jason! We're going home!" Christian yanked his arm out of Adam's hold. His eyes were filled with a look a betrayal. " I thought you would understand!" he cried. " Adam! We could have been together! I'm not going back to Canada...I'm staying with Gangrel." Adam shook his head. " Little brother...Please," begged Adam. " Adam! Either join up with us....Or..." He sniffled. " Go back to Canada."
PART 3
"Jas... sorry, Christian... please... You know, that I love you. I would do everything for you... but not this... I can't... I'm sorry..." He burst into tears... Christian wrapped his arms around him. "Shhh... it's okay... it's okay..." He looked at Gangrel. "Please help me!" he whispered. Gangrel was still scared of the cross that was around Adam's neck. "I... I can't... take the cross from him and I'll see if I can help..." Christian took the silver necklace from his brother. Edge was still crying... He held him in his arms. Gangrel placed his hand on the top of Adam's head feeling through the soft blond hair. He concentrated deeply on Adam " I'm Sorry, there is nothing I can do, Christian. If he doesn't want to join us by his own will...Then there's nothing I can do...I'm sorry." "But you did this to me... against my will... Why not him?" "He's still too strong..." Gangrel took Christian's hand. "Let's go... Maybe he'll change his mind..." Adam was so engulfed in self-pity that he didn't realize that Gangrel and his brother left. "Good Bye Adam!" Christian whispered...
Hours later:
Adam stopped crying. Now he saw, that Gangrel and Christian were gone... 'Maybe this is the better way...' he thought. 'Maybe I should return to Canada.' But his inner voice told him that he must stay and find his brother and the vampire...
One week later:
"What's wrong, Christian?" asked Gangrel worried about his companion's mood.
"I miss Adam." Christian looked so sad and lost.
"I know, but he made his choice. There is nothing I can do." Gangrel kissed Christian on his head. 'But maybe this is the best for all of us!' he thought in his mind. Christian wrapped his arms around him.
"I know. Please don't be furious with me. Whatever happened... he's still my brother... the only family member I have since our parents died." Gangrel nodded in understanding.
"Okay, what can I do, to make you happy?" he asked.
"I want to wrestle." Christian's eyes shined like the brightest star.
"Really?" asked the vampire surprised. He saw that Christian meant this serious. "Where do you want to wrestle?"
"In the WWF?" Christian was joking, because he knew, that he was not good enough for the world's best league.
"Okay, maybe I can arrange this!" He smiled at he looked on Christian's surprised face. "You know, that I'm a vampire... and my kind has some special powers." "Great... This was one of my biggest dreams... to wrestle with Adam..." He stopped short. "It's okay, little one... It's okay... Let's see, what I can do for you..." Some weeks later they had a talk with the boss of the WWF - Vince McMahon. McMahon was surprised, as he saw Christian. "I saw you wrestle in the Indy League. You are very good. If you want, you can have a contract. Hmmm, what's about you, Mr... ?" "Gangrel... call me Gangrel..." "Okay, Mr. Gangrel... Do you want to wrestle here also?" Gangrel nodded. "Yes... I want to be on Christian's side." "Okay, then it's settled." Vince Mc Mahon smiled. " Sign here." Both Gangrel and Christian signed their contracts. " You are now a part of the World Wrestling Federation." They shook hands with the owner and got up and left. As they left his office, Christian hugged his sire. "Thank you so much... I'm so happy... I can't believe this, that he gave us this contracts." "Believe it, little one... Now we are in the WWF... the best wrestling league of the world... But we have much to do. We must train..."Christian nodded. "Okay, let's start the training." He was full of hope...full of life... 1 month later they made their tag team debut match against the - at this time unknown - Hardy Boyz. Gangrel and Christian had a vampire gimmick... something, what Gangrel wanted not wishing to go with some ridiculous gig... The vampires had an entrance, which was like a fireworks. A ruing of fire and the two would appear though by being lifted up by an elevator. The fans was surprised and shocked about their role in the big story... Both vampires didn't know, that there was someone who watched them from a hiding place. Adam was surprised to see them here in the WWF. He arrived some weeks ago... and the fans loved him. It was good for him to see his little brother. He missed him so much... Gangrel was lost in concentration when he felt a familiar presence. He didn't know, what or who this was, but this feeling was very strange... But before he could continue pondering about this, Christian gave him the tag Gangrel got the pin over Matt Hardy and then they left the building... "What's wrong Gangrel?" asked Christian. He noticed his confused look. "Nothing, Chris. Everything is alright." But he was not sure...
Gangrel had another match some nights later against X-Pac. Some small jumpy wrestler. Everything went fine until Gangrel got himself disqualified, not that the vampire cared….But what happened next, the vampire DID care about. Adam...Or as he was known in the WWF…Edge raced through the crowd and leaped up onto a turnbuckle. " Gangrel!" he snarled. Gangrel spun around and looked at him shocked as he leaped off the turnbuckle landing into the vampire and began to pound him to the mat. Gangrel snarled and began to fight back. The referees and officials came out and then began to separate the two. " What is with these two guys JR?! I mean…Edge flew right through the people…and then he flew right through the air…Right onto Gangrel….I mean, there's something there!" exclaimed Jerry 'The King' Lawler. As the two got separated, Adam threw his arms over his head releasing his raging scream. Gangrel glared at first, but then began to laugh…So, the game has begun. Adam tried to get at Gangrel again, but the officials held him back. Gangrel slid through the ropes and started to make his way back up he ramp smiling at Adam and shaking his head. He then disappeared behind the curtain and was met by Christian who was about to run down to the ring, but Gangrel caught him by the arm. " I want to see Adam!" " Not just yet," said Gangrel. " I have a few ideas…" " Gangrel…Please…" Gangrel narrowed his eyes. " Who is your master?" " You are…" " Who brought you here?" " You did." " Then you do as I say…Understand?" Gangrel hissed. Christian nodded and walked back to the locker room with Gangrel. There they quickly packed up their bags and made the trip back to the hotel.
A WEEK LATER
Rumors had been going around about the possible connections between Gangrel and the one known as ' Edge'. Vince thought it might be a crowd raiser and scheduled a match with Edge fighting Gangrel. Christian had been against it thoroughly, but Gangrel said that this may work to their advantage of bring Edge ' Home'. The match was set and Gangrel went through the same procedure of going through the ring of fire and spewing a red liquid into the air. Then Edge's theme played and he raced through the crowd not wasting any time. Adam let out his inner rage in a scream and went wild in attacking Gangrel, but Gangrel was prepared for Adam. He continued to say thing about his brother to just drive the young Canadian insane with fury. At one point Gangrel charged at him only to get a back body drop over the ropes and onto the floor. Gangrel quickly got up and saw Adam racing toward him preparing to do a cross body over the rope. The vampire was prepared and when he leaped over Gangrel positioned himself and threw Adam harshly onto the floor. A wicked thought crossed his mind. He thought this would entertain the crowd. He grabbed his goblet and spewed the red liquid onto Adam and pointed a finger at him.
" The blood of Gangrel flows through your veins! Eternity is forever Edge!" he shouted. He then got up from Adam and made his way back up the ramp. If that didn't spook the Canadian he didn't know what would….But now Adam knew that he was no match for him. He looked back at the red strained young man before laughing and disappearing behind the curtain…
Adam got up enraged and disgusted. He wiped off what he could of the red liquid but it was sticky and he had to shower to get it off.
" I'm going to get that son of a bitch vampire if it's the last thing I do," he growled.
Gangrel made his way to his apartment and saw Christian staring at the TV.
" Gangrel…You hurt Adam," said Christian softly.
" It was a match up…I had no choice," explained the vampire.
" What about the blood and what you said?" he asked.
" That was just something I did to stir up the crowd," stated Gangrel. Christian sighed and rested his head in his hands. " I have a plan Christian…You can see your brother." He lit up and smiled at Gangrel.
" When?!"
" At the next Pay Per View."
WEEK BEFORE BREAKDOWN: IN YOUR HOUSE
Adam had a wrestling match against Taka Michinoku who was from Japan. It was Canada Vs Japan. Adam wrestled a good long match, but finally got the victory over Taka. What happened next was the last thing Adam expected. Gangrel made his way down smiling. He made sure that Adam could see his fangs. The vampire climbed into the ring and dared to walk right up to the young Canadian.
" Edge…It's time for you to come home," said Gangrel. Adam returned with a look of pure fury.
" Your brother misses you Edge…He's always talking about you…He wants you to come home with us." Adam showed his teeth. They were gritted in fury. Gangrel knew what the answer was. " Well…No matter, soon you will come home."
BREAKDOWN: IN YOUR HOUSE
Adam was going one on one with another Canadian…A man by the name of Owen Hart. Both Adam and Owen had equal opportunities for wins but the other would always get the shoulder up. Adamfinally got a spinning heel kick. He raised his hands into the air letting out his scream.
" DOOOOOWWWWWNNNN!!!!" It was then that Christian rushed out from the crowd and rushed to the ring looking up at his older brother. Adam spun around and jumped in shock. " Jason?" He made his way towards Christian and the younger brother backed away remembering Gangrel's orders. He wasn't to let Adam touch him. " What are you doing here?" he asked him curiously. It was then that Owen got the advantage and rolled Adam up for the pin. The three count was made and Owen got the win. Christian realized that he had cost his brother the match. Frightened of what might happen, the younger brother rushed back off into the crowd to get away. Adam got up not caring about the match and stared at where his brother had been. " Jason?" He took off after hoping to get to his brother before Gangrel did.
