RESOURCES IN CCN

One question that often comes up is..."How much can I spend if I have X number of Resources?" To help in that, I've written this up as a guideline for all of you. Our rules for Resources are as per Vampire: TM™ (3rd edition), page 132... Resources... The Resources trait describes your personal financial resources, or your access to such. A high Resources rating doesn't necessarily reflect your liquid assets; this background describes your standard of "living," your possessions, and your buying power. No dots in Resources is just that: You have no permanent haven and no possessions save a few clothes and possibly a weapon or pocketful of coins. Your receive a basic allowance each month based on your rating (since our games are roughly 2.5 months apart, we round "up" for you and give you a rating of three months worth...but this is *ALL* you can spend from one game to the next... so if you spend it all at the game, you have nothing left to live on until the next game). If you spend over this amount, it *could*, depending on how much, directly affect your total Resources.

One Dot: Small savings: a small apartment and maybe a motorcycle. If liquidated (leaving you with zero resources), you would have about $1,000 in cash. Allowance of $500 a month or $1500 a game.

Two Dots: Middle Class: an apartment or condominium. If liquidated (leaving you with zero resources), you would have at least $8,000 in cash. Allowance of $1,200 a month or $3,600 a game.

Three Dots: Large Savings: a homeowner or someone with some equity. If liquidated (leaving you with zero resources), you would have at least $50,000 in cash. Allowance of $3,000 a month or $9,000 a game.

Four Dots: Well-off: a member of the upper class. You own a very large house, or perhaps a dilapidated mansion. If liquidated (leaving you with zero resources), you would have at least $500,000 in cash. Allowance of $9,000 a month or $27,000 a game.

Five Dots: Ridiculously affluent: a multimillionaire. Your haven is limited by little save your imagination. If liquidated (leaving you with zero resources), you would have at least $5,000,000 in cash. Allowance of $30,000 a month or $90,000 a game.

NOTE: This represents your *personal* finances... For those that become corporate executives in large companies (like being the CEO of FORD, Inc.), you will have access to the resources of the company (a large company like FORD would have resource dots above 5)... If your character has access to a large company, or contacts within one ... please email me at CapChronNights@aol.com and I'll let you know how much more you can get "per game" from that company ... but be advised that "tapping" into a corporation draws attention...and doing it often will likely lead to your dismissal from that job (or imprisonment for embezzlement ~grin~).... Thanks ... email if you have any questions...
