Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Remove giblets from the hens and wash out the cavities.
Split hens in half lengthwise, down the back and the
breast bone. Mix preserves, catsup, Worcestershire sauce
and garlic. Put hen halves in an oven-proof baking dish.
Brush heavily with glaze. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour
20 minutes. To test for doneness, cut into the bird where
the leg joins the body. If juices run clear, the hens are
done.
