2 Tbls. bacon grease
4 cups shredded purple cabbage
2 cups diced apples
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. caraway seeds
In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients and
bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cover, continue
to cook for 15 minutes for crispy cabbage or 20
minutes for softer cabbage.
