Cinnamon Apples



6 red apples
1 cup red hot cinnamon candies
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
3 Tbls. tapioca

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Peel and core apples; cut in half. In small saucepan, combine red hot candies, sugar and water. Cook over medium-high heat until dissolved. Place apple halves in 13x9-inch baking dish skin side down. Cover with red hot candy mixture. Place in oven and bake for 10 minutes. Remove pan from oven and turn apples over. Add tapioca into sauce and mix well. Return to oven and cook another 15 minutes. Remove pan from oven and turn apples again. Cook for 10 minutes longer or until apples are transparent. Let cool 10 minutes before serving.
