what do I hear when you reveal your words to me

the difference is awesome to see

all of the earth that seems confused and lost

is made clear to me at barely a cost



what do I see when you reveal to me your light

the contrast in your sight

nothing can be hidden in earth’s dark

mercy and grace is Your mark.



what do I feel when you reveal your touch

the love of a Savior that is too much

gifts beyond measure

is the core of your treasure



what do I know when you reveal your love

all eyes and hands are raised up above

the burden and weight of my yoke

that chains bound on my spirit broke.



what do I want when you reveal your power

mercy and help in desperate hours

favor against the enemies of glory

a victory to claim at the end of the story



what do I give when you reveal your blood

humble tears that become life’s flood

selfish discontent is my offering to you

a house that is divided in two



what is revealed when death is done

a mended heart under the banner of One

tears and pain that are no more

a Savior who waits at Heaven’s open door.
